  • Great rendition !!!

  • That guitar looks like a toy in his giant hands! Robert Cray rules!

  • I love Robert Cray's version as much as I love SRV's version :) what you have here is a contrast of styles with SRV's version you have fast quick and to a point with him coming on like a guitar hurricane but with Cray he does it smooth as silk both vocally and on the axe :) both versions are tremendous.

  • I wish a beer...

  • No one dares press that dislike button.

Cray is amazing. Such a unique incredible sound.

  • Robert Cray is Amazing and Thanks for Posting My Friend ! RIP Stevie

  • I like his jacket

  • Cray is the man!!! i love the sweep picking lick at 2.23 - 2.25 what a guitar player. simply unbelievable control and dexterity! just awesome, get this on dvd if you haven't got it already cus its a great concert of all the greats and a proper tribute to stevie! lol

  • @antoni7515 Ah yes, that string rake he uses is from Freddie King's "Sen-Sa-Shun"..cleverly put in here.

Cray has what many musicians lack ..a SUPERB voice.

Straight-to-amp guitar sound that is unique since the days of Magic Sam.

  • @taildragger53 simply not true. watch time makes two or right next door. he can sing. well.

  • @BurgerGrabber

Errr....i hope you can read English? I actually said he CAN sing well !

  • robert cray solo is the best

  • BRILLIANT!!!!!!

  • He really makes this song his own... incredible Master.

  • nice job. tasteful that he did his own solo as tribute, rather than try to be srv. great tone. an absolute master in his own rite. believe srv would be pleased.

  • he kind of looks like a dinosaur

  • @browniemcgheeggallin

    Nice comment dork!

  • SRV is rugged blues, Robert Cray has a more R&B style. Same with John Mayer, people try to compare him to SRV but hes more R&B blues like Cray.

  • @DystopianAwakening This is true, but his guitar playing is usually straight up SRV-style.

  • SRV is legend, but Cray can do no wrong in my mind, I love his version on this tune!

  • Too soft for me to listen to. Robert Cray is good but this is not my favorite.

  • it's good. but i prefer srv's version cuz this one is too light and srv's came from heart and the texas blues was in his blood.

More powa man! but sure i can't even play close to this.

  • I liked that. 'Let's do this one for Stevie."

    rip srv

  • Cray is a real guitar and solo monster.. Not only being an awsome player, he has one of the most unique approaches to electric guitar playing.. a true inspiration..

  • wow this guitar solo, rocks

  • Good version, but not as good as the real thing.

  • awesome! totally.

  • Awesome

  • wow that was a great solo!

  • i love it

he plays it with so much feeling

  • I love his version. He sounds like somebody paying tribute to Stevie, not somebody trying to copy him.

  • @rexanater, YES I agree totally. This was a very fitting tribute. He wasn't trying to copy stevie, just paying homage to the man! Cray is a total gentleman with lots of class and that comes through with his playing...well done Robert Cray!!

  • Man....GREAT song 5 Stars.
