FYI - Brad gets that nasty distortion by running his guitar through a Yamaha 4 track cassette recorder and overdriving the preamp, then running through the rest of his pedal board.

These guys played a show with Swervedriver at Bogies in Albany, NY on Superbowl Sunday, 1994. Me and my friends hung out with Brad and smoke joints right there while everyone else was out front at the bar watching the game.  Loudest fucking show I've ever experienced.

I feel like these guys were better than My Bloody Valentine. At the very least, their work trounces anything that's not Loveless and goes toe to toe with anything on Loveless. You can't deny their incredible influence though, but it would have been cool for these guys to get more recognition

@marvinedominguez I didn't start listening to Medicine until much later but I think they should be held in near equal respect to MBV. Gotta say that Isn't Anything deserves major love. I respect Loveless but I listen to IA more over time.

Hadn't heard much about this group outside of their brief appearance in The Crow, but that brief appearance was definitely one of the cool things I remember from that movie. This song is just as instantly memorable - I don't know what it is, that riff just grabs you by the spine and won't let go. And don't get me started on the vocals...

@MrRazorz well..let's get started on vocals :). I think her voice justapoxed against all the distortions make it stands out more. You would think with angelic voice like that, you would want to accomapny it with something like piano or violin but putting her voice against all that industrial distorions take it another level.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

It's true, they probably would either suck or be making music that's totally different from their 90's releases if they stayed together. Shoegaze exhausted itself as a genre pretty quickly. I think brad laner is still making music, if anyone's interested.
