you can also beat vamp by shooting him with the anesthesia gun. It takes longer but give you more time to get behind him and stab him with the syringe.

Guys... I figured it out. UNEQUIP YOUR WEAPON WHEN YOU WANT TO GRAPPLE. Simple as that. When your weapon is not in your hands, you can grapple with R1 and then syringe the hell out of him with triangle. :D

Yes the MP7 is a good gun to use in this battle but another weapon that is of equal power is the granade launcher you got from Raven, the only problem about it is the reload speed. Another thing, don't use the rail gun, you will get your ass kicked just from it charging up.
