I loved the poetry; cant see why they were really trippin on Common?!?! What I don't like is the way they truncated HIS segment while the others were posted in full?!?! Why not show us the beginning when Common was introduced?? Show us how he took the stage to a dj scratching in words from MLK's I Have A Dream speech, or is that too much for the White House as well?? Or maybe they tried to omit that part because it doesnt fit in with their "thug label" hypocracy?!?! Things that mke you go "hmm?"

When I was a kid back in '67, there was a TV rock group called the Monkees that got into some hot water due to their musicianship being called into question. People in the media were getting on their case and wondering if they knew how to play their instruments. Strange thing about it was that some very nice music did indeed come from them. Songs like "Stepping Stone" "Pleasant Valley Sunday" and many others. Standards these days are totally down the toilet, but where are the media libs ... ?
