And before you go on about how terrible Johny Depp is, you said yourself that you dont know for sure; therefore you don't know that he took it from him, if it was hair and make ups idea, or if it was just a coincidence, or if he actually did give him credit. And if we are going to get picky, I could say that Dave Vanian should give his hair credit to Cruella DeVille.

Dude, actors constantly get influence for their characters from actual people. You can find it many different movies with many different actors. And he's not really a poser if he even admits to using the technique of taking from other people; he has said many times that he got his idea for Jack Sparrow's character from Keith Richards. Its just a technique, not a rip off.

There are no similarties at all between Sweeny Todd and Edward Scissorhands. Sweeny Todd is a man with a heart full with hared and a longing desire for revenge. Edward on the other hand is a big baby who just stepped in life trying to live, love and learn. These are completely different chracters. Also unlike Sweeny, Edward hates his scissor hands and wish he didn't have them, the fact that he was able to work well with them doesn't mean that he embraced them.
