I'd switch over to plyos...i.e. jump squats, jump lunges, plyo (or clap) pushups, etc. Or just head out to the street and do some sprints (forwards or backwards). The good thing about plyometrics, is that they keep you from losing power and strength while conditioning within the tabata protocol.
@koalas167 Technically tabata can only be done with cardio, specifically on something like an exercise bike. It's almost impossible to reach the required intensity lifting weights or doing body weight exercises.
@noonehasthisSN ya so did i but it was dynamic squats with bar that weighs 40 lbs. and 20 on each side cuz alone besides the 20 secons i counted 20 extra seconds
