The thing I find funny is how so many people think it was a demolition because of the way the towers collapsed. Being a civil engineering, it makes sense to me that the towers collapsed the way they did. The towers were struck a roughly 2/3 the way up of each tower. The top 1/3 sat on top of a area of the tower that was struck. Just imagine the weight that would be on the layer of the building that was struck. Once A LOT of mass starts moving, there is very little to stop it or slow it down.

They could have easily shot down the airplanes or done something else to prevent the event from happening. They didn't even have much of a counter terrorism strategy either. Each of those important buildings (pentagon, white house, capitol building) has it's own radar operating on its own independant power generator. The calls might not have been made with cell phones, or maybe they were, I don't recall ; but that website provides some important analysis about this, and it's not a pro-Washington story website. truthers love saying the buildings collapsed "due to structural weakening by fire"... they love saying that just fire happened that morning. what about planes careening into buildings at over 500mph? what about structural damage, huge holes in the floors of the WTC? It wasn't just fire. Look at footage of the South Tower collapse. The east façade is bending inward. For it to do that means that the floors were damaged or even absent. jeez.
@Killer0fTheSun most calls were made by plane phones, and in 2001 you could make a cell phone call from a plane at 30,000 feet, the only problems they would have is dropped calls. The drops were from the calls having to switch cell towers so often. Most 911 cell phone calls did keep dropping. Also the planes descended so low they had trouble keeping them on radar. But it is a known fact that cell phones in 2001 worked at cruising altitude. They had problems but they could make calls.

High rise buildings have never collapsed in this manner before... Yea, and no high rise building has been struck by commercial airplanes prior to 9/11. The top of the buildings collapsed first then causing the floors below it to collapse after. Demolition does not work that way. Plus no explosives were heard. Al Queda also claimed this 9/11. So to be a truther is to also say Al Queda and the government worked together on this. That's what I call logic.

No steel framed structured building has ever collapsed like that before, the steel columns in the WTCs were built to withstand even the highest of temperatures. They could have easily shot down the airplanes or done something else to prevent the event from happening. They didn't even have much of a counter terrorism strategy either. Each of those important buildings (pentagon, white house, capitol building) has it's own radar operating on its own independant power generator. No plane gets in there without them knowing about it well ahead of time & It's hard to believe that a hostile plane made it to the pentagon without being blown out of the sky.

It's more public exposure to the researchers and the findings they report. It helps to break the silence, the total disregard for 9/11 research. That's essential. The calls might not have been made with cell phones, or maybe they were, I don't recall ; but that website provides some important analysis about this, and it's not a pro-Washington story website. truthers love saying the buildings collapsed "due to structural weakening by fire"... they love saying that just fire happened that morning. what about planes careening into buildings at over 500mph? what about structural damage, huge holes in the floors of the WTC? It wasn't just fire. Look at footage of the South Tower collapse. The east façade is bending inward. For it to do that means that the floors were damaged or even absent. jeez.

@Killer0fTheSun most calls were made by plane phones, and in 2001 you could make a cell phone call from a plane at 30,000 feet, the only problems they would have is dropped calls. The drops were from the calls having to switch cell towers so often. Most 911 cell phone calls did keep dropping. Also the planes descended so low they had trouble keeping them on radar. But it is a known fact that cell phones in 2001 worked at cruising altitude. They had problems but they could make calls.

High rise buildings have never collapsed in this manner before... Yea, and no high rise building has been struck by commercial airplanes prior to 9/11. The top of the buildings collapsed first then causing the floors below it to collapse after. Demolition does not work that way. Plus no explosives were heard. Al Queda also claimed this 9/11. So to be a truther is to also say Al Queda and the government worked together on this. That's what I call logic.

@iz2sicc Actually, explosions were heard by many people. There are news videos which have people saying they heard explosions. No steel framed structured building has ever collapsed like that before, the steel columns in the WTCs were built to withstand even the highest of temperatures. It wasn't the planes that caused the collapse, it was a controlled demolition. All the evidence points towards to it. That's what I call logic, not a bunch of nationalistic flag-waving sentiments.

Ironically, this is all based on a well-known US mindset: that as the most powerful nation in the world they are invulnerable to this scale of attack. In other words, no sandal-wearing bunch of sand-n***** could have done this to the mighty USA. It's a familiar and mind-bogglingly dumb prejudice. Truthers are serverly weak minded individuals who just want to believe in something there is no proof for but whatever we are all entitled to our opinion. What does the govt tend to gain if they even remotely had the know how, or brain power to pull this off, and keep it a secret for this long our govt is full of incompatence on both sides this is the lames and strongest reach to not let anything die, and that there is hidden agenda for these people.

The only conspiracy theory that is plausible is the government knew about the attacks and did nothing to stop them for their own political and financial gain. All this talk of planted explosives and no plane hitting the pentagon is complete tripe, there would have to be 10s of thousands of people involved to cover something like that, the sheer weight of the unsupported higher floors caused the collapse of the entire building. If u looneys are goin to come up with a conspiracy make it viable.

SCIENTIFIC debate is what is needed - whether you believe the official account of 9/11 or whether you are convinced we have not been told the truth about those events. It seems very clear that these events need further scrutiny, since the both the NIST and the 9/11 Commission reports are so obviously distorted.
