  • OMG ITS THE THING, thanks alot thing your flexs are already making my hand feel better

  • @zachownzall

Great, I'm glad it's working for you!

  • just went to the docs and he said stretches would only irritate the CTS. He said the numbness is caused by nerves so why stretch it? Also is ppl were to use splints to keep the wrist straight, why are ppl bending and stretching the wrist? Those were some questions and concerns I had for these vids. Can anyone clarify any of my concerns?

  • @richardn281

    PART-I

The nerve is affected due to the tight flexor muscles pulling on the carpal bones, causing the bones to collapse inward, thus narrowing the carpal tunnel and impinging the median nerve. This is why you stretch these muscles. The nerve just doesn't impinge itself that is ridiculous.

    PART-II

Second, splints are to be worn at night only so that you do not make a fist and sleep with the wrist curled as this makes the flexors even tighter, thus impinging the nerve further. Any half-witted doctor today knows that you don't wear splints during the day as it holds the wrist up for you causing the weak extensors to become even weaker, thus increasing the muscle imbalance and symptom levels.

Thank you for your questions - I hope this information is helpful!

  • @URehab Wow I did not know that I cant wear a wrist splint through out the day. I went to the doctors and he told me to wear it during the day and night until it gets better he said. But all I felt is it was getting weaker. So I stopped wearing it and started stretching my wrist out more, hopefully it gets better because its almost impossible to weight lift. Thanks for the information!

Wrist braces at night can certainly be useful as it keeps the fingers, wrists, etc. from being bent and twisted in awkward positions. But daytime use over an extended period of time can lead to weakness and atrophy of the braced muscles, resulting in an increase of symptoms. Good luck with your program!

  • Thank you for putting these videos up. My wrist is getting increasingly stiff and painful when flexed. When I did the exercises shown in your video It hurt to try and fully bend my wrist and hand back up toward the forearm both upward and under and it clicks. Any advice please?

  • @CaramelxxxKisses

I suggest that you consult with your physician in order to rule out something more serious like a cyst, etc. If they say things look normal, start with really light resistance and only move the hand/wrist through a range-of-motion (ROM) that is comfortable and does not cause pain. Over time, your ROM and strength when performing the exercises should increase without pain. Good Luck!

  • thx for the videos.. i had surgery on my scaphoid a long time ago and my wrist has always had bad circulation. and im heavy into computer gaming, these exercise should be part of game manuals !

  • @IlluminatiSeer

Glad I could help and great idea regarding these stretches and exercises as part of gaming manuals!

  • you feel the difference right after doing the exercises,I loved it.

  • No problem! I will uploading some new videos in the next few weeks so come back and take a look.

  • Thank you for the information!
