Homosexuality is no more a choice than heterosexuality. If you don't think so, then exactly when did you choose to be heterosexual? I choose to be straight, did everything a church told me to to become straight, got an exorcism to become straight, and almost committed suicide when none of their BS worked. There are many people who went to a church instead of someone not so ignorant and many of them now are dead by suicide or traumatized and atheists as a result of the church.

I am a lesbian and a devout Anglican. I have no issues reconciling my faith with my sexuality because, very simply, Jesus died on a cross for EVERYONE, he LOVES everyone. He himself disrgarded pretty much every old testament law apart from, "Love thy neighbor as yourself, and love thy God". If that's all you need to do to be a good christian then I don't see being homosexual as being an issue.

Religious people need to remove the beam in their own eye before pointing to the speck in someone else's. It's a well-established fact that the countries with the top living standards are non-theistic. We can't build educated societies on false pretexts and the schizophrenic ramblings of stone age prophets - all on non-proven claims. Until such claims can be proven, religion needs to remove itself from mainstream discourse and restrict itself to private belief.
Church's explicitely teach their followers that the standard of proof is not desirable. Doubt is not desirable. Only passionate belief. Because the Church is speaking on behalf of God who punishes people, then to doubt is to sin. And to not evangelise and declare everywhere your unswerving allegiance to faith is a sin. I don't know how righteous mentalities like this can be tackled in practice. Philososphy (e.g. Cartesian doubt) in the high school syllabus perhaps?
The Church also teaches that sex before marriage is punishable by death. So is divorce. Even masturbation is outlawed by God. God will smite you for wearing Polyester or other "unnatural" clothing. You will also suffer God's wrath for talking back to your parents or making any kind of profit from work on the Sabbath. If we focus on God, sex doesn't dominate our lives anymore, whether we are gay or straight. He is all we need to help ourselves overcome things we struggle with, gay or straight - we aren't different at ALL. It's about focusing on God and doing good for others, intsead of engaging in lust. How we engage in that lust or who we choose it with, isn't what matters.

I am a lesbian and a devout Anglican. I have no issues reconciling my faith with my sexuality because, very simply, Jesus died on a cross for EVERYONE, he LOVES everyone. He himself disrgarded pretty much every old testament law apart from, "Love thy neighbor as yourself, and love thy God". If that's all you need to do to be a good christian then I don't see being homosexual as being an issue.

If you had really done your research, you'd understand that Christianity is not one-dimensional. Different churches interpret the same book differently, so to say that Leviticus is proof that homosexuality is sin is a subjective truth and totally arguable.

The bible does indeed condemn homosexuality, the consumption of shrimp and wearing different fabric. It does support slavery, the subjugation of women and absoute monarchs. I have never heard a christian admit the obvious; The bible is man-made and not divine.

You missed a few. It also calls for the murdering of adulterers, the stoning of rebellious women, and supports polygamy. I refer to my earlier comment regarding Deuteronomy and Leviticus (which, no offense, you should have made a point to read before being judgmental.)
Of course the Bible is man-made, it's written by men inspired by God, but the writers were men. Men have always been imperfect. Divinity resides in the Bible and the works of Christ for you to interpret yourself.

Jesus also advises on how to punish your slaves but never actually recommends freeing them (Luke 12:47-48). The Bible is not inspired by God but by delusion. I did the whole denial, trying to live a straight life style, marriage, kids Christianity, but ended up almost hanging myself.
Society at large, especially religious groups should understand that there always have been gay people and always will be. Once gay people are "allowed" to fit in to normal society the whole promiscuous/dirty label will go away
