i am going to start seriously working out and going to the gym in about 2 weeks do you have any tips for me and is whey definetly safe with no side effects
Whey protein is a gimick, protein from fruit and vegetable and nuts is better value..
Whey is processed and as we know anything that is processed has no real value..
Its what i like to call "dead" as in its not protein that is from a living thing like hemp protein.. ITs just something the cheese manufacturers sell and make a profit.. like vitamins..
It appears your knowledge of whey very poor. You may want to actually research the topic prior to commenting on whey. Articles on whey, effects on immunity, cancer, GSH levels, etc, etc, can be found on the BrinkZone....good luck
@willbrink Hi i have a question. I was consulting with my Supplement store on if i should buy 2-3 packages of Whey Protein and they told me that its better to buy one fast protein (Whey) and a slow protein (Casein). But people keep telling me Casein is pure crap and i should buy only Whey. Whats your opinion Whey or Casein ?
@willbrink he is right though whey is a dead protein. Hemp is alive, its from plants and natural stuff. Whey does have benefits but hemp would be the best choice of protein to take.
@willbrink could you discuss the difference in the benefits between Whey Protein and Soy Protein. I have been taking Soy Protein for 1 year now jus for general health.
I've been training for 8 years and I don't use whey protein powders any more and certainly not marketed 'BCAA' 'supplements'. My post workout nutrition consists of chocolate milk.
I heard whey protein will give heart disease and cause gh guts to be produced? is this true, i think i will stay natural and stick with horstail weeds found in the backbay
@JDilla2812 i cant believe how the companies market whey protein. Its essentially a steroid because of the hydrowhey peptide isolates. Its worse than creatine and will probably cause some kinds of diseases or complications later in life, life baldness, or as jdilla113 said a gh gut might be a product
Whey, no matter how it's processed is not a steroid. I recommend you do some research on steroids, etc. Creatine has a wide range of health benefits, again, research on your end needed. Lots of articles on that topic on my web site, BrinkZone. Good luck!
I'm not planning on working out, I just want to loose weight. So will this make me feel filled up and stop me from wanting to eat so much food that could be bad for me?
@Alu122112211221 No, but dont exersise daily your body needs rest, remember muscle grows when you are not exersising. breaking down muscle tissue too often with out it having time to recover isnt good for you.
So will whey make me put on fat if I don't exercise? I'm using it to help me get over my sugar addiction and it works wonders but I never have the energy to exercise. I'm naturally very lean but still want to lose about 5 lbs if I could. So I absolutely don't want more fat...
So, when I mix my protein powder in cold water, it comes out smooth. When I mix it with hot water, it thickens and develops chewy clumps. There goes my hot whey chocolate idea...
Can you comment on water temperature and its effect on protein powders? And does heat compromise the integrity of whey protein?
I have a big problem. The whey protein I drink makes me smell like rotten milk and its really hurting my social life. Is there any good replacement I could use? Ive heard soy has phytoestrogens that arent good for men building muscle. I just need to find a solution. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.
At what temperatures and intensities does denaturing occur? I've always been cautious of leaving a tub of whey in the hot car and I don't like to order it online in the middle of summer here in Texas because it may sit on my porch in the sun for hours when it's over 100 degrees outside. Should I be concerned?
Great, yep, complicated, but important, hope you will cover subfraction proportions, your opinion on GMP and bioactive fubfractions vs denatured dairy waste products.
Looking forward to your take on the subject thanks
@willbrink Thanks Will..as I am reading it I noted a slight error in the text of that article talking about cfm whey : " very low levels of undenatured proteins" but I think it should read " very high levels of undenatured proteins" or " very low levels of denatured proteins" ,check it out !!
