I saw them in '82, I believe, in a venue just like this. They rocked the house! It's funny to see how we all looked back then in our college days. Oh my!
I remember heard this song in a episode from the simpsons where homer wins a harley davidson motorcyle and he create a gang called the hell's satans next the real gang takes over his home
I remember watching this on the USA Network in 1983. My brothers and I were rolling on the floor, laughing hysterically. Good job and thanks for posting this.
This is a great song. I enjoy most covers too. Dave Edmunds did a real nice job with it. Probably my favorite version. If you like NRBQ, will will probably like The Wildbirds. Check them out.
Tommy is a great drummer, sounds like simple two and four bass snare stuff but listen closer and you hear, grace notes, ghost notes etc. this guy could swing.
An outstanding song from an outstanding underground band. This is what rock and roll is about.
"Future's no problem; well we don't care,
cause wherever we're goin', we'll soon get there."
/Me And The Boys/ was music of my teen years, so of course I'm biased, and like anyone, I have the right to be. Ain't puttin' anyone down when I celebrate this song. 'Twas a rebellious masterpiece, and if the next generation tops it, all the better.
>dear Al,

I learned of this song from the Bobcat Goldthwait movie "Shakes The Clown." I request it on my local rock radio show and they play it. FRITZ ROCKS.
