@pilif12p1 because a) you'd only get steam out of it and b) you wouldn't be able to run it as long since "fog juice" requires a lower temperature than water to 'boil'. So if you're that cheap and you've got enough time to spare, just mix 50% glycerin into the distilled water and you're set.

i did....i didnt have fog juice i just got mine in the mail today its a thousand watt fogger....water dosent really do anything not even hott steam just nuthin and after a min the pump wears down and you have to let it rest for a while this is a responce to " why dont people just try straight up water in there fog machine"

there i thumbs uped it cause it was a smart question i use 2 accu fog from amarican dj and i tried that on one and it gets really hot so that is why they make fog juice its easy to make by yourself

This is really dangerous, and it may be VERY toxic. Because fogmachines dont simply heat it up. It goes through processes, and It also heats is at a specified tempreture. Over heating or underheating it causes toxic fumes from the glycol in it!

Yes, the vapors are extremely toxic because fogjuice is composed of part glycerin and water. When burned it transforms into formaldehyde and can kill you.
