I dont have to go to Basilan or Sulu, after more than 300 Spanish rule including parts on Mindanao, the original features of the natives have changed. This argument is irrelevant, the current problem in Mindanao I think is due to the fact that the Moro resisted the Spanish and American colonialism, including the Philippine political system of government or they would have been more educated instead of living a primitive culture.
Their culture are still intact that our government gave them their own law! Education? wut kind of education do they need? The christian way or the Islam way? now ur calling their islamic way PRIMITIVE!
Geeez! your brain is outa the boundaries of the Phil... or ur thinking 'bout China?
your speculation is highly probable that the a large number of Ilocanos who inhabit northern Luzon are willing to live in a hostile environment all the way to the south of Mindanao
they are not even members of the rebel groups, most CPP and NPA live around Bataan Province, maybe some speak their dialects but calling them Kapampangan and Ilocanos is based on your own opinion
I saw old photos of the Mindanao natives, they are dark and short..you can research yourself
Now your talking cpp-npa!Dunno wuts happenning in ur twisted mangled mind, but these native moros are all over the Philippines before these foreigners found us! But your comparing the old BLACK/WHITE photo, they would become dark skin, mostly male are darker skinned 'cause they are hunters under the sun! If you have the time, you could go in Basilan or Sulu, and see for urself these 100% pinoy pure blood!
The original natives in Mindanao have dark skin, Spaniards have raped so many women in Zamboanga, their genes spread throughout the surrounding areas.
If you have seen so many facial feature of people from there or heard of Chavacano which comprises of so many Spanish words suggest a long dominant presence of the Spaniards on this particular region and the surrounding regions.
My grandfather is a pure chavacano from Davao, hated his character but nonetheless I've got a GREAT GOODLOOKING MEZTIZA MOM, and dont't worry my granny wasn't rape by mah Lolo!
LOL!
We are talking 'bout the natives not when these foreign idiots came here!
you're wrong, Mindanao was conquered but their traditions, culture and religion was not dominated or else Mindanao would have been a predominant Muslim state
You should read more of Phil History down south. The native people in Mindanao are light skinned people same as the vietnamese and partly chinese. But the rest of pinoy are much like the indonesian type of skin.
Mostly Pinays are not raped by those idiots, you've seen too much movies, Pinays are intermarriage by traders overseas, so they could trade freely!
We could have been american today, The US are afraid of Pinoy, 'cause our population grows very fast that US government are afraid that in the future Pinoy might become President of the USA, just wut happen NOW... OBAMA!
For one thing, Pinoy are the true warriors of south east asia! The old days, the king of brunei are always hiring pinoy warriors to defend his kingdom and in return the king gave the pinoy sultanpart of nhis kingdom, that is called Sabah today.
Magellan goes around the world and fought the natives in every part of the world, goes here and drop DEAD!
All the powerfull country uses Pinoy as warriors, in WW1 and all the wars in the world!
@ bayyagg indeed true warriors specially in the south. Mindanao has never been conquered by the Spanish or the Americans... its a fact........, perhaps the only people that really conquered Mindanao are the illogical lol..
iTzFilipinomonkey you're one fucking racist idiot for using that name here..it does not matter where the Filipinos ancestors came from
now it is mixed with different races..in early Spanish and American colonization, most Filipino natives have dark skin, the true Filipino race before the Chinese, Spaniards and Americans started raping the native women with except the Aetas or Negritos race because blacks are always discriminated, it's a human nature..you're the example of a prejudice person
it does matter to know your history.....because if you don't history will repeat itself.... why do people in the P.I admire being light skin, cliaming to spansh blood....who controls the government?? is it the church??? filipinos in the phil are still colonized mentality....
i think your reponse is an over reaction with reading the context of my post...which is a reply to someone elses post... read "carefully" before you call me racist.
of cors not!!!!! In my opinion, our brothers and sisters aeta or negritos are intitled to enjoy what the present Filipino has..Nobody descriminates them..we all love them. iam from Cebu city and though i havent live a life with negritos around me but still i have a deep passion for them. I dont see anything wrong with them..They are humans.
actually the aeta and negrito (orang asli is the malay term) are the aboriginals of the phillipines, malaysia, and indonesia. the filipinos you see are actually malay ethnic race (Austronesians) same with indonesians and malaysians.
however, in the colonial period i believed the filipinos where called island niggers. but yet again, anyone who is not white back in those days are called the "N" word.
@edmon040979 dude I second that.
emilio aguinaldo is the starting cause of war in mindanao still raging today...he immoraly annexed mindanao n sulu in Phil.Map. he put 2 tagalogs people in what should be natives of that place. now, country cannot advance because of corruption and wars. bangsamoro feel betrayed. after helping fight old spain. correct the injustice.
give the guy a break man, you want three thouasand littel fucking islands each with its own fucking government, give me a break man, Aguinaldo wanted to keep the country WHOLE, if he had to do it immorally in your opinion well fuck it then, the Muslims would never agree to share power, and how do you know there wouldn't have been hundreds of littel wars among the littel island nations like in Latin America, he's a Filipino patriot, stop fucking being such a liberal cunt
What was the accent of the voice over? It's not American nor British!!!! I didn't understand some of the words!!!! Seems that they were swallowing the words!!!!
Back then, the times were different. And so way the mind set of people. All people were so brutal, but not everyony had the means, to be so ... "effective".
Racism is too, is not limited to one people, or one skin color. And all people have a history of genocide. But we, their descendants, have to see to it, that such monstrocities don'T repeat themselves.
aguinaldo should have used the americans instead. he can really gain many from the autonomy that america had offered. if he only accepted autonomy and waited for independence until our country become strong that time we could have fended the japs longer or even repel them on WWII, or should we say there should be a stronger philippine nation that time if aguinaldo just accepted the american autonomy. i guess rizal would agree with autonomy that america had offered.
Lapu-Lapu the best national Hero of the Philippines after the death of Lapu-Lapu Philippines has been conquered by Spaniards America and Japan and the people have become slaves by this country's.
The first people who came in this country are Malay Arabs India and Chinese traders before Magellan invade Mahar country means country of Maharlika people not Filipino but Maharlika or Maharajah cause Philippines came from the name King Philip of the Spaniards the invaders of Mahar or Philippines now.
The information in this documentary is inaccurate. Most of the details are incorrect and incomplete. Research more on Philippine history because some book are bias.
Well what to say the damage have been done to our people but after the wrath their is peace...one thing more the bldgs at the end of the clip is not fro Philippines!!!
aguinaldo = knowing the fact that the country would be in danger of foreign agression. he should have accepted america's offer for autonomy govt. for the country. that way it would scare and drive away those who try to conquer us those times since the U.S. is a powerful nation. he rushed independence and his country paid for his "stupidity". he lost his best officials and best comrades who were loyally serving the govt.
quezon = a total idiot, what the fuck does he mean with "rather have a country run hell by filipinos". is he an insane fuck or something? does he even have the idea what he was talking that time. quezon is one of the leaders who only wants power, fame and glory, his term didn't bring any good but a colonized country to the japanese.
cory 'slut' aquino = screw you, you are only good with words. do you think words can feed the tummies of the hungry? this country turned more shit during and after her term. this president "may be" a good person(rumored). however even and idiot could identify that your presidency sucks, your leadership sucks and the country again paid for it. i wonder why people still love this bitch president, where in fact, no growth or development happened during her term.
gloria = bitch president who is only good at spouting nonsense. economist she claim she is but couldn't do a shit about this country's economic situation. die bitch president, no one believes in cowards and spineless bitch like you are!!!
Philippine history didn't even start in magellans time. It started during the Song Dynasty of China. When the young Song Dynasty emperor escaped from the invading mongols. They build an Empire here in the phillipines The "Lusong Empire" (luzon). this was during 10th century. No wonder lots of chinese in the philippines.
Philippines hates us when where they loves it when we leave then compalins that we left. What are we supposed to do? Even though the US isn't in Philippines I know will always have their back.
Can't you see the similarity of this to the war in Iraq? America is such an Imperial state and will continue to do so as long as it has its power. It's ridiculous to read its anthem when in reality it behaves completely opposite to its creed
So I say to all Filipinos... be proud and know you have a much richer history than you may realize. And NO...The Spanish were NO Saints, and the Americans were NO saviours. They may have contributed in way shapes and forms to the Philippines. But don't think for one minute that they had pure intentions. And NO filipino should EVER justify what the Spanish, American, or even Japanese did to our beautiful country. If someone broke into you home, stole, killed, would you call them saviour?
i completely agree. its good that many filipinos realize the terrible things the spanish have done but also remember, the americans were no angels either.
So true. Americans were not our saviors, contrary to what some of them think. The Japanese wouldn't have been in our country if not for the Americans. I am very proud of our history and the brave heroes who fought for our freedom, especially Bonifacio and Rizal.
"I prefer a country run like hell by Filipinos to one run like heaven by Americans."
Really? I've heard the quote being said in some radio stations a few times. Quezon was really grateful for the help Americans gave, but I don't think he'd appreciate the possibility of them "ruling" the country.
Your 100% correct & have you heard the rumor on web that Japs are secretly building ICBM's (Mitsubushi) for nanoized Nukes for Nuke subs!have you seen it posted also!Jap revenge?Japs comming back to kill us again? Is it true?
But getting back on topic. The Katipunan continued to fight off the Americans way into the very early 1900's causing the Americans to say that the Philippines was an "Achilles heal" almost a thorn in the Americans side if you will. It is also important to note that Macario Sakay, one of the Last Katipunan generals was still leading the revolts against the Americans.also his flag was never actually realized in material form but I am happy to incorporate the concept of his flag onto my shirts
And yes Andres Bonifacio is the original father of the Revolution. And obviously a lot of filipinos don't know or realize it cause of the school curriculum. But I heard that they are gonna revise that which is a good thing. YES Aguinaldo ordered the death of Bonifacio not approving of a two Katipunan faction government. I don't think we will ever understand what was going through Emilio's head, which some say was for the greater good, but I will leave that up for debate
God Bless The Philippines and God Bless America who saved the Philippines from the Japanese and Spanish Imperialists and gave us Shopping Malls & Kentucy Fried Chicken
I personally wear Katipunan t-shirts with pride and have a customized katipunan flag in my home. For those of you who don't know the KKK symbol of the Katipunan should not be confused with the lowlife poisonous inbred association of the Ku Klux Klan not related to it in no way shape or form. I unfortunately have to avoid using that symbol because of the bad taint the Ku Klux Klan gave to it. My t-shirts usually have either the early single "K" flag forms or the white sun on red background
Man I am so happy that there are people on this forum who really understand what the united states had done. The U.S. should be held accountable of being a no good backstabber to the filipinos claiming to liberate them from Spanish rule only to turn out to be a conniving as their Spanish counter part. I can see why not a lot of people in America know about this because of how embarassing it looks on them and shameful. What is low is the U.S. was mistreated the same way by the british...ironic
hi, nice work, may i have some of your sources? someof the pictures you showed were niceespecially those with rebels slauthered in trenches.. back here int the philippines no textbook showed those
yeah, after I read agoncillo's books, emilio for me is an ABSOLUTE TRAITOR! it so sad... that andres bonifacio was ordered to be killed. was it because he was just the DUKHA? walang pinag aralan? no... no...
Lots of wrongs. Aguinaldo was a traitor and murderer. The Bonifacio brothers and Gen. Antonio Luna were all murdered by him. Helping the US was inexcusable.
It's a matter of opinion, Aguinaldo was a traitor. But he did a lot of success in battlefield against Spainards. Between Agiunaldo and Bonifacio it was a political rivalry who will led the revolutionary government. Bonifacio did not recognized the result of Imus and Tenejeros Convention. He left and form his group as Magdiwang and was court martial.
Thank you for your response. As a first generation American Mestizo, I noticed that the full blooded Pinoy's had fiestas with the people from the region's they came from. Being half Ilocano we attended mostly Ilocano gatherings, the fiestas attended by all the Tagalog's, Ilocano's, Visayan's, Ect. were rare. I suspect the treaties you mentioned were in the same vain. Statues of the Bonofacio's and Luna still stand proudly in Iloco's.
We were restless? How condescending and disrespectful! We were already INDEPENDENT!
You have made many errors in your presentation. Although appearing well said, you left out many facts. You are obviously an American skewing your filthy history. You are VERY BIASED.
All the revolutionaries wanted was to establish true freedom as a country, and not to harm the visiting* americans.. But the Americans saw this as an act of rebellion or insurgency of some sort... T_T they don't OWN THE Philippine SOIL.. They should have not killed those revolutionaries who were trying to establish a government of thier own.. -,-
As a Filipino I could not agree more. But I think this film left out a few things. Instead of adding aditional troops the Americans shipped over 1000 give and take teachers called the thomasites tasked to pacify the next generation from nationalistic tendencies. Amazingly it worked. Not only that they really sucked a great deal of resources. I could go on for hours but that would be tiresome.
seriously i am so confuse right now ...of being a filipino they say that Pinoy are the disease of the society and we never had anything thing good to show to the world not like china and japan and etc. and most filipinos compare them selves to other race
what?!! who says that pinoy are the disease of the society.. god those people are racist! because we are from THIRD WORLD! that's why they said that... Be proud of who you are.
lintik na nino de blanca to (white boy), we are not rebels nor insurgents but revolutionaries. our mauser is more than your krag, and when you invented the colt .45 m1911 our moro juramentados chopped the heads of your ancestors. so much for benevolent assimilation and manifest destiny.
dude, they are not "rebels" but "nationalists". It was not the "Philippine Insurrection" but "Philippine-American War". The Americans were not the "liberators" but the "invaders".
This is True, Im Half Spanish-American(fatherside) & Half Chinese(Motherside). But After this story, Americans became guilty and have no choice to help filipinos to destroy spain, japan, china and niggers. Americans helped, we filipinos main dialect is english-spanish and our second language is ENGLISH!

But your comparing the old BLACK/WHITE photo, they would become dark skin, mostly male are darker skinned 'cause they are hunters under the sun! If you have the time, you could go in Basilan or Sulu, and see for urself these 100% pinoy pure blood!
bayyagg 2 years ago
The original natives in Mindanao have dark skin, Spaniards have raped so many women in Zamboanga, their genes spread throughout the surrounding areas.
If you have seen so many facial feature of people from there or heard of Chavacano which comprises of so many Spanish words suggest a long dominant presence of the Spaniards on this particular region and the surrounding regions.

My grandfather is a pure chavacano from Davao, hated his character but nonetheless I've got a GREAT GOODLOOKING MEZTIZA MOM, and dont't worry my granny wasn't rape by mah Lolo!

We are talking 'bout the natives not when these foreign idiots came here!
Eh zeke ya!< -- Hangook lingo!

Oppps! forgot!
those dark skinned you've seen are mostly iLokanos and Kapampangan!
they arrive in that area in 1800 and 1900! The government gave them hectares of land, so that they will not join the rebels in Luzon.
Ur wrong again... try another comment!

you're wrong, Mindanao was conquered but their traditions, culture and religion was not dominated or else Mindanao would have been a predominant Muslim state

Learn more.....!

All the powerfull country uses Pinoy as warriors, in WW1 and all the wars in the world!

iTzFilipinomonkey you're one fucking racist idiot for using that name here..it does not matter where the Filipinos ancestors came from
now it is mixed with different races..in early Spanish and American colonization, most Filipino natives have dark skin, the true Filipino race before the Chinese, Spaniards and Americans started raping the native women with except the Aetas or Negritos race because blacks are always discriminated, it's a human nature..you're the example of a prejudice person

aguinaldo should have used the americans instead. he can really gain many from the autonomy that america had offered. if he only accepted autonomy and waited for independence until our country become strong that time we could have fended the japs longer or even repel them on WWII, or should we say there should be a stronger philippine nation that time if aguinaldo just accepted the american autonomy. i guess rizal would agree with autonomy that america had offered.

idiot presidents of the country
aguinaldo = knowing the fact that the country would be in danger of foreign agression. he should have accepted america's offer for autonomy govt. for the country. that way it would scare and drive away those who try to conquer us those times since the U.S. is a powerful nation. he rushed independence and his country paid for his "stupidity". he lost his best officials and best comrades who were loyally serving the govt.

They build an Empire here in the phillipines The "Lusong Empire" (luzon). this was during 10th century. No wonder lots of chinese in the philippines.

But getting back on topic. The Katipunan continued to fight off the Americans way into the very early 1900's causing the Americans to say that the Philippines was an "Achilles heal" almost a thorn in the Americans side if you will. It is also important to note that Macario Sakay, one of the Last Katipunan generals was still leading the revolts against the Americans.also his flag was never actually realized in material form but I am happy to incorporate the concept of his flag onto my shirts
mtreyt 3 years ago
And yes Andres Bonifacio is the original father of the Revolution. And obviously a lot of filipinos don't know or realize it cause of the school curriculum. But I heard that they are gonna revise that which is a good thing. YES Aguinaldo ordered the death of Bonifacio not approving of a two Katipunan faction government. I don't think we will ever understand what was going through Emilio's head, which some say was for the greater good, but I will leave that up for debate
