I was last weekend with Pete grieving over Mary Travers passing..so early&young still.Held the hands that warmly beat and still firmly string and pen those thousands of songs.He had a great voice to word a brief but good line for me still.

His Grandson Tao seems to be following closely in his grandfather's footsteps. I love how in the few videos I've seen of the 2 of them performing, you can catch him looking at his grandfather adoringly. May God bless Pete and Tao.

I really admire Pete Seeger and what he stands for! the message he sings is something we now have a chance to do! if we STOP letting the media divide us by racially motivated articles and come together and MAKE the politicians ACCOUNTABLE to us and not the LOBBYISTS and CORPORATIONS we will see a BETTER AMERICA.

I've been listening to pete since birth (i'm 26), and for me, there will never be a better, more beloved musician. His voice, social conscience, musical scholarship, incomparable mastery of the banjo and guitar, and of course writing and influence on other performers combine to make him perhaps the greatest musical figure of the 20th century. What a shame that he's largely unknown!!

Its wonderful to read that so many of you love him Nearly as much as I do. Make sure you hear him do Masters of War on his albulm Strangers and Cousins. It is so powerful it should be a video clip of huge importance. Also the way he does Golden Thread on this albulm is so special. It has for for over 40 years been my favourite song.
