  • I love the digital clock on the dash

  • i love to look at your boots while you ar trying to start your car

  • tbh ..my sugestion ..sell 1 or 2 ..and fix one ..make it "new" it haz a lot of rust on it as i saw ..it could use a new paintjob imo

  • Just put a video of up of a 1979 I picked up a few days ago...

  • She sounds ANGRY! Love it

  • what a badass jeep u have there buddy!

  • I love how us fsj owners always have more than one.

  • @ZaidNitsua At the moment I have 3 haha, looking at buying another and maybe selling one

  • @AOO08DOYOUHEAR Between me & the old man we have an 84 wagoneer, 2 cherokees & ones a golden eagle, a J20 thats short & lifted, & a cj7 thats about to get its freshly rebuilt 40over, ported & polished 401. Just parted out a woganeer & I'm trying not to notice the free willys wagon flat head down the road from me. I'm not bragging this is a cry for help.

  • Hi, your J10 it`s not a 1979 model, It`s a 82 or 83 model.

  • @dmartinez4 The body is an '85, everything underneath is '79.

  • Sounds great. I've been thinking of puttin dual exhaust on my J20, just gotta figure out how to run it all the way back

  • the switch is vacuum, my J10 has Quadra Trac (The one that you REALLY want) for those who dont know what Quadra trac is...im sorry your missing out... Quadra trac is all time 4WD with a vac switch to lock the hubs down...locking the hubs down w/the switch also engages the 2.51 - 1 gear reduction on the back of the transfer case....I.E. if you are REALLY stuck...flip the switch & let it idle crawl itself out lol

  • @79J10Owner Your an idiot. The switch simply locks the viscous clutch in the t-case, so that front and rear have a true 50/50 split. Ever notice how normally the steering wheel doesn;t fight you while turning? that's because the clutch is doing it's job. the switch overcomes that for a true four wheel drive. I don;t know where you got all that other non sense, but seriously, do a little research.

  • where can I find parts for a 1979 j 10

I want to put a brush guard and stuff like that on it but I cant find anyone who sells the stuff

  • goodies? i seen goodies in the description what goodies?! lol

  • @6030diesel Eldebrock Performer 600 cfm carb, Eldebrock RPM Air gap intake manifold, mild Summit Racing cam & lifters, full length Hedman headers, shift kit for the th400, 4" lift kit + some medium tread 35" super swampers, and new ring and pinion gears but I haven't decided what to get yet. I'll do the lift first, then engine modifications, then when I get some money saved up I'll clean and paint it, redo the interior, and add some offroad stuff to it.

  • shoot! that sounds sweet! hopefully i get my grandpa's J10. i think its a later model since all the gauges are square. got any idea on the year? also it has a little slide switch on the dash where your aux gauges are for the 4wd. it also has a lever under the driver seat that runs the reduction housing.

  • @6030diesel Yeah hopefully it will be! Hmm square gauges.. The cab on mine is an 85 and its got round gauges. Both my 79's have round gauges too. I don't know, I haven't been in enough of them. If you could tell me the tranny or transfer case I could give you a year range. If the dash in mine is an original 85 yours must be an 86-88 model

  • i couldnt tell you the transmission or transfercase. its 500 miles away from me. im guessing the TH400 since its a 3 speed auto. its got a 360 also.

  • @6030diesel Is it full time 4x4 or part time 4x4?

  • im pretty sure on part time. it has a switch where your two gauges are on your truck that says 2wd and 4wd and its like a heater switch. but the truck doesnt have locking front hubs.

  • @6030diesel hmm again. 80-88 they were part time but I haven't seen one with a switch instead of a manual shifter, or a part time without manual hubs. It must be 86 87 or 88.

  • yea its weird. the switch is either vacuum or electric operated since it just slides either way. but when you move it you can feel the 4wd working.

  • @6030diesel my awd 79 has a vacuum operated t-case lock, they probably stayed close to that switch design.

  • The goodies have been ordered. Not on there yet.

  • Thanks for your boots, Wranglers and stubborn start up. I appreciate it too.

  • man, I had my subwoofer on, and it shook the house when it started! GEEZ!

  • @umajunkcollector Hahaha! You should be inside the cab!!

  • @KuntryboyF150 Mine were a lighter brown with a same color stitched in design on top but I've oiled them since new so they're darker than they were. Yeah it does sound good! They're a pain and a money pit but sure are fun once you're finished!

  • well it knows that those of us that like pumping and cranking will be happy :) nice video

  • @NJFordPops08005 haha I guess it does. Thanks!

  • I don't know what's going on? I tried to give you 5 Stars about 8 different times, and they won't register..

  • @vidman008 Haha, at least you tried!

  • Sounds good with those straight pipes.... And yeah the engines always want to play up with there's an Audience.. 5 Stars

  • @vidman008 Yep it sure does. The jeep is just camera shy.. its not use to it like my other trucks, or the One Crank Wonder.

  • nice boots...... My Caddy acts like that sometimes...still gotta pump it sometimes even on a warm start up...

  • @floodedcaddy Yeah. Thanks!
