RCR, the original dieselpunks! One of my favorite videos. (Bonus, I used to live in the LBC and took that section of the Metro Blue Line that used to be the old Red Line Watt's Local almost every day. Watching this video is like going home.)
Actually, they were on Side One Dummy after they got dropped from Warner Bros. They were on BYO Records before they kicked the Stern brothers (their only association to punk rock or indie) out of the band and signed to Warner Bros.
@G420S This is off She Walks on Fire, track 2. Been a huge fan of this band for about 15 years now... I'm really going nuts waiting for a new full studio album.
Just great! You should've been in LA in the early Nineties!
You could see some of these guys doubling in three different bands (Jump with Joey, Joey Altruda and Joey Cheezhee) on weeknights! The best scene Los Angeles ever had!
can anyone tell me was it this band who did a track on the film the mask if so what was it called and if not can anyone tellme who and what it was tall order i know but its doin my head in now
These were the boys that rocked the mask my friend, the song you're probably thinking of is called 'Hey Pachuco' - I highly recommend their live album 'Caught in the act' which has an awesome version of that song and many others that will swing your world too - jesus, I sound like an ad... I just love RCR, I've caught them live in Australia, UK and USA and they just keep getting tighter.
yes this is the band.. the song is called "hey pachuco".. you can find it in the albums "mugzy's move", a live version in "caught in the act" and an early version in "kings of gangster bop"..
sad that non of the LA red line street cars survive, we have to thank GM for that
