so...can anyone explain why Yamato was there at the end... its not that i mind or anything, I absolutely loved the Space Battleship Yamato series, im just wondering thats all
@mbossXNC Yamato makes a cameo appearance in a lot of Matsumoto's work. U can see Yamato in the background a lot during the travel sequences in the original GE999 series. btw, u ever notice how a huge recurring theme in Matsumoto's work is that one of the female characters always by coincidence looks identical to another? And a male character will always accidentally call the girl by the other girl's name? Example= Yuki and Starsha/Sasha from Yamato. And Maetel and Kanae Hoshino
@ZoeIsLost yeah i have noticed that that connection, and something i've learned lately, is that the Yamato series well atleast season 1 was originally going to have an additional i think it was 13 episodes and in those the GE and Space Pirate Harlock were to make cameo appearances as well, but do to budget cut they took it out. at least thats what i believe it was. and i'll have to go find the original GE again and keep an eye out for yamato, Thanks again
@enbilulugugal Suppodily due to the series split timeline, this movie never happened on the movie timeline. but taken right by the wiki article: "This movie takes place one year after the events of the TV show". thus explans tetsuros desgin.
@mattstrickland9 yea,Tetsuro looks horrible, like he's been dabbling in some crack. But that's kool, yea cuz i was wondering thought maetel was suppose to get her own body make or something, but its all good
@enbilulugugal The reason why Tetsuro looks so different is because he is NOT the same Tetsuro from the GE999 movie and Adieu GE999. Eternal Fantasy is based on another Timeline/storyline from the 1978 television series. In that version, Tetsuro is a short, fat, ugly kid who nobody likes, and he is looking for a new life where he could live without discrimination, pain and suffering. The movie version of Tetsuro was a street smart, handsome kid who was trying to find a way to murder count mecha
@JimmysFinest i agree. My intrest with anime only sparked when i saw the series on september tenth(pretty neardy this i rember the date huh?), but i cant really find any anime series today that can compeat(Narito fans will flame me for saying so. :D).
@mattstrickland9 Haha, it's also the first anime series i've seen. The original movie came out in 1978, following about 100+ TV episodes (outside of the 3 movies). A little after came Adieu GE 999. Leiji Matsumoto, the anime creator, did a wonderful job making his films. He managed to integrate series like Captain Harlock into this one, which makes it very unique. Also the orchestral music is great, making it into a masterpiece of anime history. I recommend Matsumoto's other anime series. :)
@amalthea2010 Well thats not my fault. I did no editing on the movie itself, just puting in my intro and some random talking so i wouldn't be copyrighted by toei anamation. Either it was my editing system, the torrent i downloaded ithe movie from, or your computer.
@mattstrickland9 I hate how the english sub versions of this movie and Adieu are always taken off by youtube narcs, yet they always keep up the spanish and italian subbed versions. I've been dieing to see this film for over 10 years.
USing this for audio, as the file i have doesnt have it, but it has subs.

A good anime film, but unfortunately not with the German translation. I look very much like those in films!
