The part the news failed to mention is that there was another employee that did the same job that was caught on camera stealing equipment and smoking pot that kept his job....Jason was a telemarketer the company didn't depend on him that much...the other guy was even caught, by the owner, sleeping on the job under his desk...he wasn't fired but Jason was....now tell me it wasn't because of the gay thing.....
I don't know the whole story but if that's true. It sounds like both of them should be fired. I forgot what the report said but I thought it mentioned that if Jason had shown up for work, he would have been able to keep his job and he chose not to go and accept the possiblity that he would be jobless because of skipping work. He should have went to work, if he wanted to keep his job. The "Day without a Gay" was a stupid idea, especially in these times, where businesses/employees are struggling.
Actually, I cant help but agree with you. It isnt so much about being gay, but I mean, your protesting your homosexuality to the wrong people. You are technically threatening your job, that you are going to not do work for them for a day, because your gay. Its not like your sick, or your going to a funeral. If I thought I could wear a T-shirt to a formal workplace, and told them I was calling out, because they didnt approve...thats the way the business is looking at it. Not the gay-day so much.
He should have called out the day before if he wanted to give his boss, enough time to replace him. lol, It's not about the gay thing, it's about the fact that he didn't do the right thing.
he should be so proud of himself. he's so brave. now die faggot
