This tofu is similar to a kind of dried tofu in Chinese dishes. When my mom made it, it was never cooked alone but always with beef and vegetables like in a beef pot roast. The tofu would soak up the natural juices from the beef and the vegetables making it especially delicious. This way you can avoid putting in too much soy sauce or salt and let the other ingredients contribute some flavor.
when you squished the koyadofu with your finger and all the juice came out, god that looked so delicious. and now i want to try some, it looks easy to make but i never tried tofu before so wish me luck.
Good luck! I don't know if you'll like it ... it's not the most popular kind of tofu. (But I really like it.) It really is just like a sponge, so all you can taste is a spongy substance and whatever flavour you put in the liquid.

Koyadofu is kinda like the texture of a fried donut...atleast that's what I think.
