While Conservatives have some rather harsh policies and our constantley upseting people but they get the job done.

What I am going on is what I have seen in British polotics over the part 30 years with Thachers Goverment ( 1979-1990) Blairs ( 1997-2010) and now the coalition ( 2010- pres)

Democracy and communism are not opposites. Communists believe in TRUE democracy, as opposed to our "bourgeois democracy." What that means is when you only get to choose between millionaires running for election, working class people (the vast majority of society) aren't really represented. Elections in a capitalist system are almost always decided by who can get the most corporate money. True democracy will be realized under communism because everyone will have an equal say in society.

@usjta Yeah, that's the same thing people said in the USSR. Do you think Stalin was a good example of that? History prooved that the life even in the worst capitalism is better than in the best communism. That's the true. Socialism/communism is no democracy at all. Find me one democratic socialist country, I wish to see one really.

@Kubizan Sweden is socialist, not communist. Social state = takes care of old people, of people without work and handicapped. Health- care and other cool stuff. That ś why it is with Finland the most developed country in the world. USA are 5th i think. I don´t understand why 80% ppl in my country voted for extremely capitalistic parties after huge medial massage, i voted socialists coz i know it works fine in scandinavia....

@Antarktida1337 Communism is a type of socialism. And not Finland, but Quatar is the most developed country in the world. Then goes Norway and then I don't remember what.

Well, it may work in a country that is already developed and stays out of trouble, but you see.. countries like USA have influence zones to maintain and they need their economy to be growing and reamain very strong. We learnt by history, that command economy is bad for the progress.

@Kubizan Socialism supposed to be economical democracy - elected bosses. The idea of communism is to turn society in total democracy, it eradicates classes by abolihing state(police, military, taxation, judiciary... ).
