  • These guys are my fave band after The Beatles.

  • All their music sounds better live

  • @cgord31 This is one of their better studio tracks, though.

  • REMesque :)

  • whenever I listen to this song I think of a platoon of canadian soldiers circa wwI lined up in a trench ready to go over the top, and when they do,when they enter "no man's land" the whole world becomes a distant memory, a reward for surviving, it comes after, at the end of the madness: like a gift shop at the end of the museum.

  • Not gonna lie. Hot Chelle Rae adds disappoint me while waiting on Gord Downie. : 0=@|

  • This song is a gift ! from a fond Aussie

  • 1996 what a good year for music in the 90 probably thr best year in the 90s a tim i will always remember

  • I don't give a fuck what anyone says, this.. is.. Music

  • during the adds i just pack more bowls of weed. wasting my time efficiently

  • rob baker. what a fuckin chill dude.

  • Niagara falls should have been a national park, the scenery there is amazing. Now it's just covered with tourist attractions and accomodations.

At least the falls provide us with power, I guess.

  • fuck gift shops, i didnt go to buy your trinkets!!

  • LOL thumbs up for Mountie Gord!!

  • @underwareman If someone could find me that as just a picture, id be thrilled XD

  • @17thCenturyLlama Agreed, that's what originally brought me here.

  • @underwareman I gave you a thumbs down for sucking dog balls.

  • 1 person is a soulless douche.

  • This song reminds me of driving through the Alberta Rockies with my family about to go camping when I was about 10 years old.

  • Thank Canada? They also sent us Celine Dion. As far as im concerned its a push...

  • these ads make me want to HULKSMASH my computer thanks fucknuts

  • 1 dislike because someone was looking at their computer upside down....

  • Underrated? Perhaps outside Canada.I know people who have seen them live over fifty times.

  • Love Love this song, this song played in the pits right before we went out and ran a 5.87 at 244 mph last weekend at the track.....it's now being played every weekend :P

  • @thadoc8113

    lol @ that last part.

    Canada <3

  • @thadoc8113

why u getting all bent out of shape? Do you feel the same way about americans trashing their own countrymen?

  • We like to think we are better than americans and I am sure they think they are better than us as well but at the end of the day we are all the same. The only major difference is that we know way more about there culture and country than they do about ours. Thanks america, for the youtube, the computer I'm using, for the Internet etc. What country would make a better neighbor than the US? You'd have to pick one big enough to front on Canada...

  • If you're having a Youtube fight in the comment section or a Tragically Hip song, get the fuck out.

  • I don't know where I have been, I've never heard this song before, they play it all the time at the movie theatre and I love it, it's amazing! but of course it's The Tragically Hip, always have great songs:)

  • ...Just what I heard at the time. As TH fans, there are more that unite us than lines on a map can divide us.

  • Love it!

  • @longprocess lol you think that weed gives you brain damage

  • 90's.

  • mad love from buffalo

  • ummm i bought trouble at the hen house the day it was released here in the states. it may or may not have been released earlier in Canada, but it would have been only a day or two

  • Their music is hard to describe. I've never been high in my entire life but I believe that when I listen to their music, I experience something very similar to being high. It's just so intense and incredible. Every song they've made is a favorite of mine.

  • @longprocess You're missing out ... go smoke a joint!

  • @Didgeridoozie Music is a much better substitute for drugs. At least it doesn't cause brain damage. :)

  • @longprocess Yeah if you're implying smoking herb gives you brain damage you're sadly mistaken my friend. Sure it kills brain cells but so does your computer, its moniter, your TV, microwave and the damn food you eat so suck it up and quit complaining.

  • @exponentialreduction I wasn't complaining. I'm just tired of people trying to justify pot. How about get a damn life instead of trolling around on Youtube? Go smoke a joint or something, brain-dead lowlife.

  • CANADA!

  • best band of all time.

  • kuuuuulllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • kullllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • Awesome. This is a great song and a great CD. I heard 'Trouble at the hen house' wasn't even released in the US. Too bad for them since it went 5x platinum in Canada XD

  • @royalcityman it was, i have the album and i live in chicgao.

  • An absolutely fantastic band! I live in NY near Niagara Falls - awesome footage of the waters and it fits so well with the beginning of this song! I have been fortunate to have seen the Hip several times - and all I can say is thanks to my Canadian neighbors for sharing!

  • we're forced to bed but we're free to dream.....nuff said and thanks you mr. downie

  • I love Gord on the horse...too funny!

  • this song was inspired by when gord seen his first ice burg

  • Oh Canada! What a band you have in The Tragically Hip.

  • we get to feel small but not out of place at all. Deadly. Canada rocks.

  • we get to feel small from high up above

  • I got the chance to see Gord and the boys a few years back at the Orpheum. The crowd was really dead, didn't do them much justice. Keep up the good work lads, I look forward to your next album!

  • Bahhhhhh, emmmm, bahhhhhh, the GOAT MAN!

  • @Alhambrattp Bahhh, emm, baahh you have the brain of a goat.

  • @kurtizzyflush

no, but I would start killing any goat I saw if I had to listen to this shit for too long.

  • @Alhambrattp Call yourself goat and keep listening.

  • @Alhambrattp You'd kill it after you boned it.

  • Pretty much sums up western society.

    Downie is a poet.

  • Wow, so many great memories accompanied with the soundtrack of this band. Thankyou Hip , and Hip fans!

  • I don't know what to believe.

    Sometimes I even forget.

And if it's a lie, terrorists made me say it.

    Hip Forever

  • Canada.... too many asians?

  • @zciweiksim We are all humans dude.... We all come from stardust my friend. love not hate

  • I only make love to the voice of Gord Downey, hes the only thing that gets me up

  • I was born and raised in the U.K. where some of the best music ever created came from but now I live in Canada and I think the Hip are so incredibly underrated! I think they've produced the best rock music in the past 20 years.

  • I'm living in the belly of the beast, I miss CANADA

  • @UncoveringConscious You live in Texas too?

  • i saw them in vermont when i was like 15, guster opened up for them as well. what an awesome show. i only wish that i was a little older so i could have appreciated more

  • I am drink molson while watching this,

  • Classic. Remember the days of being a 18 year old Canadian, going to a bush party (do kids even do that today?), drinking a crate of Moosehead, watch 2 guys fight over some bird, listening to the Hip (on some battery powered tape box), then it gets busted by the cops.

  • @N8Core14 Aye aye captain I remember rockin to the hip in high school in 1993

  • @N8Core14 dont worry man, i was doing that when i graduated in 2006 and i will continue that tradition this canada day weekend, give'r

  • @jeffccc88 Nice. I reckon'd most young people were too much into dance clubs and Lady Gaga/Madonna metrosexual stuff.

  • ...we're forced to bed, but we're free to dream......

  • " We get to feel small... from high up above "

  • This song makes you go into deep thought at the start, such a good song! CANADA RULES!

  • a beatiful song

  • fuckin hardcore tune

  • @bigjoestevens

hardcore??? fuck no....what are you smoking.

  • long live the hip!

  • such an under rated tune

  • Such an underrated band. But I hope it stays that way. Canada's own gems.

  • @B66R90 what are you talking about underrated they're fuckin legend in the only place that matters CANADA!!!

  • @B66R90 Canadian rock icons and you call them underrated? And 48 people agree? WTF is going on? Are the Americans finally clueing into the hips AWESOMENESS?

  • @sweetmonkeylove1 I think they meant underrated in the sense that, for acts coming from Canada, you always hear about the likes of Bieber and such, even though The Hip define what Canada truly is.

  • @jdo49 I can only wish it weren't true.
