  • I'd say it was a sleeper. But you would have to be deaf.

  • WOW! I have like 20 questions about the build, do you have a website or forum thread on the build? I'd love to see what you did to make this possible

  • @darobk I have loads of media and someone was supposed to build a website for me but that fell through. So for now if you want to check it out you have to come visit. Bring beer and diesel fuel, I'll take care of the rest. Did you see the little turbine bike I just finished?

  • Me . Mom can u bring me to school :)

  • Such a good idea, whats do you do for a living to know how to do this?

  • @CameraBoy999 I barely made it out of high school. Now I have my own business servicing CO2 lasers and automated equipment. I made it here the hard way.

  • thats baller. you need to do this in a lighter frame car. thinking crx

  • @tqadir007 there's just no fuckin way this motor would fit in a CRX. The van is fun because no one expects it to move. they would expect a CRX to move. You have to be there when i ask someone who just bought a porsche with the $5000 carbon nanaotune buckyball Fullerine 6 piston brakes if they want to run my van in the 1/4 for titles. It's a riot! ZR1 Vette against my 2000 dodge grand caravan SPORT model in the 1/4? I'm waiting for the sucker to take that bet!

  • @krugtech ohh trust me it will fit. crx has a ton of space in the back. there is also a video of a small mini cooper with jet engine. have you put this thing on a dyno. the rear wheels too see how much power it is realistically putting down. and about the van being fast i get it but you cant fool anyone with that van being stock. the thing is loud and everything is sticking out of it.

  • @tqadir007 it doesn't stick out until it's too late. The van looks totally stock until I "deploy" the turbine. We tried dynoing it but we had trouble getting a clean pull. We saw 136 hp front wheels and 575 hp rear wheels. The cool part was 2500 lbft torque at 0 rpm

  • i love it how is sayes sport on the side of it

  • Look like a soccer mom bat mobile

  • In the immortal words of Top Gear: If as Toyota Prius came up behind you at a red light and saw that, it would LITERALLY wet it's pants.

Now the real question: is it streets legal? I would imagine not.

  • That was the coolest thing I've seen in ages!!!

  • @Chromia1 come by for a ride!

  • @krugtech

dude YOU are the fucking man! this is just absolutely awesome! id love to know all about this build! and please post some more videos!!!

  • @incubrian look up jetvan on facebook. until I get a website up, that's where you can find what i'm working on...... the turbine bike WHY-2K

  • So I'm assuming everything can come back out easily. I guess we can call this a sleeper

  • @levirolla The turbine is on rails, I have it rigged up to roll forward and the back window closes. There's video on the krugtech channel

  • @krugtech oh ok. I just watch the Pass Time video. Its RWD too?

  • @levirolla the stock motor puts 136 horsepower to the wheels, the turbine delivers 575 horsepower to the rear wheels. The entire rear driveline is custom built.

  • @krugtech Oh ok. That's a crazy build man. Really impressive

  • haha, how hard is it to breathe if you close the slide doors?:)

  • @ZeroTheta it's not so bad but it gets warm real quick

  • SHIT, WERE LATE FOR SOCCER PRACTICE. Luck-fully we have a fucking TURBINE in the back of our van.

  • HaHa at soccer magnet

  • @jinglesm the soccer magnet is the most important part. It took a while to find one that would stay attached at 130mph

  • hope you changed the chassis, suspension, tyres and breaks... also the transmission and just any other thing else... if not i think no one will like to have a go in the death trap...

  • @MrRandomppl It's safe. But you have to realize anything can happen. It could get hit by a comet and that would probably result in death.

  • @krugtech you could probably out run a comet.

  • @CarScratchRemover lol it looks like a comet when I do a burnout!

  • @krugtech we have the exact same van here, and I recall the brakes aren't that good... not exactly sure how safe I'd feel if I am trying to stop my van at like 100mph while carrying an engine like THAT in the back... how much does that thing weight btw?

  • @ssj4david I ended up using the spindles and struts from a 2001 4 wheel disk grand caravan which let me mount their much better brakes. I used the master cyl from the 2001 too. The rear brakes are from a ford explorer. Carbon metallic brake pads help too. It weighs about 6000 fully loaded when me and my wife make a trip to a track. when it's race ready and we have all the luggage and tools unloaded its 5200 pounds. Besides the brakes it's an excellent vehicle.

  • @krugtech Yeah, it really is a pretty bulletproof vehicle (that's b/c we didn't get a lemon in the first place). Got one with the 3.3L. We've packed on about 170,000 miles, and had up to 700kg of stuff in the van at any time in the past 13 years we had it. Never had a major prob. and we're still using the original transmission. Just wish the brakes were better...

  • @ssj4david check out chryslerminivan forums. If you can find a 2001 4 wheel disc van in the junkyard you could upgrade really cheap. Front and rear disk is bolt in.

  • @krugtech Thanks. We're actually gonna leave the van as-is. There's a 2011 Subaru Outback H6 on our driveway as well.

  • Soccer Mom <3

  • its still a mini van...

  • @austinbanister exactly

  • @krugtech I want your van.

  • @kinsley2108 everything I own except for myself is for sale!

  • @krugtech lol, how much you reckon you'd sell it for?

  • @kinsley2108 Right now I'd sell it for 40,000 USD

  • The only thing that would worry me with this is compressor surge. A hard unstart would suck in an enclosed space.

  • @hurckesj I have a pretty substantial fire wall in there now. It's a pretty small turbine anyway.

  • @krugtech I FUCKIN LOVE THIS THING I'd want my mom or dad to pick me up in that van from school

  • @tonyakabadboii your parnets can borrow it and pick you up if you want

  • That is just fucking ridiculous. I love it.

  • @jdoggybizzle that's pretty much the effect I was trying to achieve- ridiculous. Some hate it, some love it but they all say something. I'm glad you appreciate it and you're welcome to come for a ride anytime!

  • here you are doing all this amazing stuff, and they freak out if my window is down 1/2 inch if i run 11s. sheesh. this is awesome!!!

  • @DJMC5ive sounds like you run at one of those NHRA (NAZI) tracks. I have no use for them. They will never have cool shows like mine at their tracks. Outlaw racing rules! (because there's little rules!)

  • Comment removed

  • That is just awesome. Very cool!

  • Hey, I have an extra jet turbine just lying around. Really because I have an extra mini van I'm not using. And this creation was born. Epic Win

  • @joshuahenderson3 come by for a ride. I have a washing machine laying around and a 300 horsepower V8 engine. I have loads of wash........... I'm not doing that.

  • O.O wtf.....dear santa.....

  • Do the 1/4 mile.

  • @dirtbikemike69 I did the 1/4 managed a 10.95 at 128 mph.......

  • its because its a caravan sport

  • @sirconnorman truth is, no matter how much horsepower I put in this thing, it's just not possible for it to be "sporty"

  • @krugtech yeah it was a joke cuz the thing is a beast

  • @sirconnorman hell yeah it's pretty funny. Whada ya mean it's not sporty? did you see the wing on the back?!??#*(^#@) Come on by, you buy the beer and food, I'll buy the fuel and we'll go for a ride!

  • @krugtech too bad im 14 :)

  • @sirconnorman that's a temporary affliction but i must say while I'm 52 now, being 14 was one of the best times of my life.

  • If Batman had kids, this is what he'd drive.

  • do you use just the jet engine or use the minivan engine in conjunction?

must be one tuff rearend in that thing ay?

  • @turtlemann14 It has a custom built 9 inch ford rear end with a detroit locker from a winston cup car and hardened axles. The transfer case is custom chain drive. it will run about a 12 second 1/4 mile with just the turbine but if I put the stock front setup in drive and floor it when i leave I get low 11 and an occasional 10 sec 1/4 mile.

  • you cut a nice light too.. lol

  • @revinkevn cutting a light with this thing is a real PIA. I have to go to full power while prestaged and then try to let off the break enough to let it stage which isn't easy as there's 2500 ftlbs when the power turbine is stalled.. The turbine and my brakes have a conflict of interest when I do that. I spend almost as much on tires and brake pads as i do on fuel but it's money well spent!

  • Can your van be legally driven on the street?

  • @86zcamaro sure, I drive it all the time with the stock engine and occasionally fire up the turbine while on public roads. I guess the cops could get me for loud exhaust when I run the turbine but the cops I've come across are pretty cool about it. I'm sure there's some a-hole cop out there that will bust me for terrorism or something when he finds me.....

  • @krugtech I didnt know your van still had the original engine. I thought you would have taken it out. Cool project man! Keep it up!

  • @86zcamaro heh had an 89 IROC. You think putting a jet engine in a minivan is hard? Try to get the t tops on an 89 camaro to stop leaking! it had the shitty GM Tops, not the sweet ACR ones. Yeah I needed to keep the stock engine 21 mpg air cond power steering and it did that 10.95 pass with both motors pulling!

  • it'll be a bad day for any motocyclist to be caught behind you in traffic, even with out the fire show.

  • @burn19ballz my friend tailgated me with his pickup about 30 feet away anywhere from 30 to 60 mph and he said it was a little warm. There is no jet thrust out the exhaust, all the energy is transmitted to the rear wheels.

  • And who said vans where for soccer moms?

  • call the fire department

  • @keke7266 I have to call them before I start this thing in the neighborhood or they get upset. Grovetown Public Safety and the fire department are really cool people. They just don' t like to roll a truck for some neighbor who doesn't understand my van is supposed to look like it's on fire.

  • the kids will never be late to soccer practice again!!!!

  • Badass!!!

  • so wats ur price a gallon lol

  • TO THE BAT... van??

  • SIR!! I Hereby award you with the badge of AWESOMNESS for building this :) I couldnt stop smiling the second you started the engine^^

  • @101Razgriz You can have a ride whenever you want. This thing has been making me smile for years and it just gets better.

  • Top Ten one of the coolest automotive wonders I have ever seen. That and I love turbines. Fantastic creation!

  • @jasonstitus come on by for a ride!

  • is it road legal XD

  • all I could do was smile while I watched this. How much power does that put out and especially at what rpms?

  • @N00bsMonkeys That's what I like to hear. That's why I built this. It makes people smile. The turbine makes 700 horsepower at 2100 rpms. The best part is you can have the turbine running at full power and have the output shaft completely stopped, at which point the output shaft is putting out about 2500 ft lb in this stalled condition. People tell me it will jerk the front wheels off the ground when I leave the line sometimes. It's pretty hard on brakes tires and fluids.

  • Do you still have the stock engine upfront?

  • Kids: Soccer mom, we're going to be late for the game!"

Soccer Mom;"Not in my van we're not!"

  • @Dissez503 or jet what ever the hell it is...

  • that one hell of a van :D no chance of being late for work no more ;D good job on the van, i gotta ask though whats the top speed on that, im guessing its FAST

  • @doomboy199 it's governed to about 130 mph. I'd have to gear it up to go faster or speed up the turbine which is risky. I'm really not sure I would want to go much faster than 130 but it has the power if I did.

  • 0:28 You put a whole new meaning to the word "sport" that was written on that door...

  • 7.65 seconds to 96 mph.. thats faster then most new cars hittin 0-60 mph..

  • Just fucking stupid.....Almost kill yourself for this. Have fun dying you stupid fucker.

  • @analyzingfunny I'm not sure as to what exactly you are trying to say here

  • @krugtech i think he doesnt even know what exactly what he is sayin here

  • @krugtech I'm saying that I hope your family remembers you as being a stupid fucker, doing needless shit; that's all I'm sayin here.

  • @analyzingfunny You're in the 1% who just don't understand. Ignorance brings fear, fear brings aggression, which explains your hostile attitude. My Family really likes my van. We have a lot of fun with it. What do you do for fun? Recycle soda bottles?

  • @analyzingfunny Just shut the fuck up you faggot, you may be the one to die first.

  • @garyfisher9 Can I get you a drink and maybe put on some soothing music? Believe it or not, I was just like you, angry as hell. Then I channeled my aggression into energy and built the van. I feel much better now. You should do something to burn off that pent up energy before your head explodes.

  • @krugtech No you can not get me a fucking drink you fucker, im not a bitch + i dont drink. You know SHIT all about me so i suggest you shut the fuck up period.

  • @analyzingfunny Oh shut up you angry dumbass, it looks like a fun project

  • @wonderlustre Come on by for a ride!

  • @krugtech I would love to, no doubt, but I have no way of passing the boarder without a car :P

    Canadian eh

  • Dodge Caravan goes Super Saiyan

  • man, if this works, could you place a CFM 56 in a Peugeot 407 and make it road legal?

  • Soccer moms Greatest Gift

  • damn, Why did i sold my voyager?

  • Lets see whats under the hood ...

  • very very nice

  • Out of curiosity, did you strengthen the rear shocks, or are they stock?

  • @Taldoable The entire rear suspension was modified.

  • Don't give the soccer moms any ideas.

  • BADASS

  • 5 feet per gallon...

  • Don't be surprised when you see a minivan in space within the next 10 years.

  • but will it blend?

  • Haha i love this thing. If you dont mind me asking, how much would it cost someone to build something like this?

  • @SavageRC1 I did it cheap but if you wanted to do it today it's about $22,000 in parts alone. very labor intensive.

  • @krugtech Thanks! Im actually surprised, i expected it to cost more than that.

  • but some wings on that van!! wait nvm wtf r u gunna steer with.......nvm bad idea

  • dont lean your chair back to far. you might just lose your head.. O.O

  • @TripppEE i was worried about that, so I put in a firewall

  • this is for those soccer moms always in a hurry

  • Why can you only run 1/8? Why not 1/4? p.s. this is the definition of "sleeper car" right?

  • @QuadraplegicNinja it runs the 1/4 no problem

  • Gotta love the soccer ball sticker on the back.

  • next step: put two wings, bombs and missiles on it.

will you have a bomber van?

  • @5479900 no an angry soccer mom

  • I never understood why they always blow lots of smoke and fire out the back before finally zooming off. Is it just for show or is warming up or something?

  • @BadIdeas101 in this case it's just for show as it is shaft driven and the fire show actually reduces shaft horsepower output. Thrust driven the fire helps make more thrust.

  • @krugtech I have a question, where did you buy the parts for this? and how much did it cost to put a gas turbine in a car?

  • @redghost105 there's a turbine like this on ebay right now

  • @krugtech what is it called?

  • @redghost105 trying to think up a cool name for this thing has been the hardest job. installing the turbine was easy in comparison. I hope some day some little kid walks by and simply blurt out an awesome name without even thinking about it.

  • @krugtech OO so you built the turbine yourself? very nice,

do you have a ebay link for me to see?

  • i should have gone with the sport model

  • 2:19 u can hear 'hijueputa' that means 'son of a bitch'

  • You should use the output of the jet to also power an alternator and have two electric motors on the back wheels and you will have the ultimate van.....

  • I think electric power would kick ass. The problem is the promoters know that a noisy fire spewing van will draw more of a crowd than a nice trim electric one. I know electric power is the future but most motorheads see electric as a threat to their way of life.

  • @krugtech To what that guy was saying about the doors creating drag, how about you take the doors off and make a fiberglass scoop instead, like a giant one? haha. but still have it on the door frame so you still have easy access to the turbine but you will loose weight that way, and it would look better probably.

  • ????@all these responses...its still a slow ass van..he picked up speed towards the end, but this ugly ass van is too loud and too lame and slow to actually race anyone...and i understand yall have doors open to cool it, but you need to find an alternative, you are picking up so much drag by leaving those doors open... basically i see no reason why u would waiste your time with this...build a 9sec. electric street legal van, then i'll be impressed mildly

  • YOU MUST GO FREAKING DEAF

  • The all new dodge jet-a-van, gets 32 gallons per mile, brought to you by uncle sam.

  • @MisterLEM0NS gotta love how dodges have wonderful gas milage especially the jet-a-van its my vavorite loooooooooooooooooooooooooollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • @Mrilovefourwheelin when I put more air in the tires it gets pretty good mileage

  • great!

  • How does it feel to have the intake of a Jet engine next to you right ear? does it suck in your car keys and get foreign object damage?

  • the only bad thing of that monster is that u can't do a burnout :S

    BUT IS FREGGIN AWESOME!!!!

  • @persiforever 1/8th mile burnout isn't enough? It will go longer but I get scared

  • Whos up for a family picnic in that thing? someone in your spot? heh just back her up and giver er a rev xD

  • I guess you have no excuse if you're kids are late for soccer practice. LOL

  • awsome !!

  • so did you leave the fwd intact for cruzing?

  • @omfgursodumb The stock front wheel drive is indeed intact. not only does it give good mileage and power everything nicely, it also adds 136 wheel horsepower to the mix :)

  • @krugtech You do meen 136 shaft HP thats the way they rate tubines, I can see why a 1/8 mile run is enough , unless youv'e got a gear reduction box on the nose of the engine your probably looking at governored shaft speed of over 10,000 RPM , even with the axel ratio with no transmission overdrive the tire speeds are going to be way up there ,and if your like I am I don't like the idea of a blow out at high speeds !.....

  • @kamphwagon1 the gas generator turbine spins about 30,000 the power turbine spins about 24,000 which is geared about 13:1 in the power turbine gearbox which means this turbine from the factory output around 2000 rpm at the output shaft of the power turbine. the turbine drives the rear wheels dynoed 575 at the wheel, the stock motor made 136 hp at the front wheels.

  • @krugtech Now that makes a difference youv'e got a nose box on the turbine like on a turbo prop reduceing it down to 2000 rpm thats about max for a prop , on the military choppers that I'm familuar with used a planatary reduction in the main transmission to reduce the rpms ..

  • u stole my grandmas van and pimped it out 4 me....can i have it back now

  • The crazy things you can do with military surplus & a cutting torch!!!

  • Awesome job!! Way to think outside the box. Is there a particular reason to keep the side doors open or is it just for the CFM intake of the turbine?

  • I wonder how much that goes...

  • The engines definitely make up for your lack of aerodynamics lol

  • @squirlybmx for a minivan it's pretty aerodynamic, which pretty much means you're right, there are none.......

  • What a stupid idea. Isn't even as fast as a lot of fast cars.

  • @halofan373 What are you driving? A Prius? Everyone else here seems to like it. Go away.

  • brings a new meaning to "fasten your seatbelt"...

"kids, keep your seatbelts fastened or you'll be sucked into the turbine."

  • @LifeinTechnicolourii it almost got my hat once before I put in the firewall

  • Where on earth did you get the donor engines?

  • @hupfernum Everett aero in the UK

  • HAHAHA! That is TOOOOOO funny man!!! GREAT JOB!

  • @hupfernum That's why I built it, I thought it was funny!

  • I would sell my right one just to drive to Kroger's in this thing-- "Paper or plastic?"..."what?"..."I said, paper or plastic?..tweeeee-OOOOOOOOO-- "WHAT?!"...-EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE- "DO U WANT PAPER OR PLASTIC?!?!" -EEEEEEE-ROAR-EEEEEEE (...clean-up on ALL aisles, please...and a price check on diapers)

  • @Chris17psi come on by, to hell with Krogers, we'll go bar hoppin!

  • the run starts at 2:00.

  • mas emocion de lo que corre la van mmm ¬¬
