This brings back a lot of happy memories; this occurred spring term of my first year at MSU.

Did you all notice how short the pants were in those days? That cracks me up. Anyway, that team (they didn't win just because MJ was on the team) was awesome!

First time Bird/Magic ever played against each other. Wasn't exactly fair though: Bird's ISU team was a little Missouri Valley school full of short slow white farm boy types--Bird carried that team on his back all year; whereas Magic's MSU team was the Big 10 Champs loaded with talent that included other future NBAers like Jay Vincent and Greg Kelser.
