  • I totally forgot this track. Wow, they are amazing.

  • First heard this over the radio while listening via the headphones in the backwoods of east Texas (RIP Edge Club 94, a weekly Saturday night dance mixshow on KDGE's 94.5 the Edge) back around Christmas holiday '93. It was a transcendental experience and never to be forgotten.

  • great to listen to while watching informational videos

  • Think had an out of body expeirence wae this tune !!` at T in the park slam tent `think was 2007 , blew ma mind`never saw them for some reason, went all the raves n that, but this is the way n the good old 90`s ,raves ,doves, double dipped strawbs, & acid house ,warehouse raves,n fields ...the rez `thank fuk wis part of that scene, can remember getting back & few eggs & black ,roses, monday`s `the wall & Orbital, `good times.

  • This song saved my life. In it I saw that hope is the only part of us that means anything.

  • @KhurrumAsif - wow, so true. Im glad im on the same wave length as someone.

  • The very first CD Album I`ve owned.

  • A cry....for...survival...yep...for thier survival...and...for our ..Survival

  • Fantastic album, and one of the best "bands" you will ever see live.

  • I've bought this album five times. FIVE TIMES: three for myself and 2 as gifts. I will buy it five times more throughout my career as a fan of electronic and ambient music because it kicks so... much... ASS.

    ORBITAL4LYF, YA HEEEARD

  • Orbital's discography is part of my backup.

Is there: documents, programs, Orbital, pics and videos.

This album is amazing. The first time i heard was in 1996 (i was 14) on a electronic music shop, the second time i heard was at home, cause I bought the CD.

Some time passed, someone stole my CD. But you know what? I don't care.

At least the sob has a good ear for something of quality.

  • My brother bought me the 'Brown Album' for my 17th birthday back in 1993.

The best birthday present I've ever had. Within 6 months I'd bought a Roland TB-303 and SH-101... and now make music for a living. Thanks Orbital

  • this is class , takes me right back , thanks for posting

  • I remember listening to this song in a mixtape that had no name. Till this day I have the tape! I need to load it up onto you tube!

  • This CD was one of the ones i herd more often ever, until it was impossible to ear some tracks due to use and abuse of the hardware.

  • this tune captures the essence of escapism. truely brilliant.

  • Clever minimalism.

  • @tomstickland absolutely, well ahead of the game huh, hard to believe they made it in 93 huh.

  • "It's it's... it's uuhhm... it's a like a cry for survival" etc.

That whole thing just cracks me up.

  • @AlephNeil It's pretty dam good alright, i first heard this song last week and have been quoting the "cry for survival" bit ever since, working it into EVERY conversation. A good laugh

  • Just saw these guys LIVE bout 5 hours ago and i havent slept yet. They are true pioneers and i was saying before all their anthems(like this one) live, is a totally unique and blissfull experience. Totally cemented electronica in the 90s for those of us that grew up their beats. God, i miss them already

  • @PetShopMod - they created this unique electro sound. Enjoyed their music in the early 90s. I had the luxury of being E'd out of my tits to Orbital back in 2000 Bugged Out tent @ Creamfields.

  • I purchace this cd the early 90's and lost it. A few years ago I order a new original cd and this track is still my favorite. Cool beat. Thanks

  • RAVE ON!!!!!!!!!!

  • oh my Sweet Jesus !!!

    tears fall down my face

  • 2:26 is my favorite type of chimes from orbital

  • Dude you need to find a copy of Impact USA (The Earth Is Burning: Diversion) from the Diversion EP that was only released in the USA.. When you do check out the kick in at 5:10.. it blows this version away

  • Had an acid party years ago....this album never left the cd player.......

  • cant stop listening to this hook on itunes "diversions". elusive song: didnt want to spend $30 for 1 song but it's "album only" even on itunes!

  • 9:25 such a trippy riff

  • spine tingler

  • love it. such a powerful hook at 7:07

  • oldskool

  • I always secretly hoped that during live shows they would bring out real cars and just start blowing their differently tuned horns.

  • I agree too, ultimate bliss, seeing them sep 09 at newcastle ;)

  • I agree with with usernomen and astrolabe! Trance at its perfection

  • This album is the greatest.........they should put it in the music classes all around the world, so kids will learn to think about the music in more intelligent and different way......

  • @usernomen please explain.

  • @lampard554 Weeeeelllll! :) I think it is very clear. When it comes to music there are so many different styles, and Orbital are one of the best electronic musicians. It will be very nice if the schools include this type of music since it is art on its own and children should learn how to experience this music, especially this kind of musicians with the deserved amount of respect. You can't force anyone in liking something, but you can show them the variety of things.

  • @lampard554 And to be honest, with the pop culture being so dominant in this times, musicians like Orbital and etc. are still marked as "alternative" or similar....

  • how i love this album...it was my first introduction to electronic/techno music or whatever you want to call it. one emotional long segue of amazing music.

  • Really noooyce.
