  • You could also use this for the force-field effect from Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla.

  • Brilliant tutorial! Great explanations! :)

    I will make a Maya version of it.

    Thanks =)

  • OK BrokenJack, now.. I tried to add in a Suzanne model so she would fade in at about frame 11 and stay to the end like she 'beamed' in.

    Needless to say, I failed. Thoughts?

  • @HrafnNordhri

    I probably need some more info, but really it should be as simple as setting Z Transparency in your material for suzanne. Slide the A(alpha slider) to 0. Hover your mouse in the materials window and press I and then select alpha to set a key frame. Move forward in your animation by a second or 2 then slide A(alpha) slider to 1. set another keyframe the same as above.

  • brokenjax, great video!

    I am really curious, what screen cast software did you use? (and how did you visual the keys?)

  • @bxerroz Sorry for the late response. Ishowuhd is what I used. It's better than snapz pro IMHO. Although now snow leopard gives you the ability to capture through QT X. If I get around to doing more of these things(I have been super busy) I will use it the built in SL QT X.

  • that looks really good i might do the whole tutorial!

  • As you see at 10:03 it says iShowU HD.

    Thanks for the tut.
