  • love this band, the music, john farnham.........

  • what a all-time great song!!!

  • Great song.

  • this song reminds me of Gene and Joan

  • Glenn Shorrock and Co. What an incredible group, and this was arguably their best recording. My God, this was recorded live??? It's so close to the studio cut in quality. Fabulous!

  • LRB was my favorite band as long as Glenn was in the band, when he left they were just a shell...

  • fucken awesome, dont ya just miss the good ole days when music was full of skill and melodies that didnt grate on your nerves

  • I got rid of my vinyl, wish I hadn't. Will keep a lookout to rebuy it.

  • The original Little River Band were superb. Glenn Shorrock will forever be the voice of the band (screw that piece of shit John Farnham and his howling shrieks). Glad that George Martin used Glenn's vocal on the Time Exposure than that Wayne Nelson clown whom (along with David Briggs' replacement Stephen Housden (who is miming what Briggs played)) stole the band from Beeb Birtles and Graham Goble.

  • @tjrrockandrollmaster

It's a real shame about what happened to this band. I saw them once, great sound. I was warned off of buying their hits posted in itunes, I wanted to replace my greatest hits lp on digital. Folks who posted there told the story of how they got legally screwed, just awful.

  • @bright632 I have the original First Under the Wire on cassette. Better grab on vinyl and also Time Exposure on vinyl. I won't give my money to Stephen Housden (the hack who mimed David Briggs' phenomenal solos here).

  • I believe that as much as I believe in o J 's innocence

  • I deciphered that last message

You know you're not GOD,I AM!

  • u know ur not got...I AM shh

  • that's what I said I like their harmonizing

  • When I hear this song it always reminds me of when I was hung over at a friend of mine's house. I ate a short stack of biscuit and gravy in the morning when my stomach went in reverse and I threw up the biscuits and gravy back in to the skillet on the stove! lol

  • @IronJustice08 u sick puppy,I like that u can tell us an embaressing story about urself, shows u have character

  • Love it. Thanks LRB. :) You guys are awesome.

  • Love it. Thanks LRB. :)

  • man , my butt itches !

    scratch scratch scratch . . . . . .

  • Greatness!

  • ever heard of a song of theirs "guiding light"? you'd die.

  • i will always love this band!

  • ESA era MÚSICA no las fregaderas que se oyen hoy!! LITTLE RIVER BAND RULES!!!

  • i opened up for these guys about 4 or 5 yrs ago in Florida somewhere,i think maybe Ft.Walton beach perhaps at some fairgrounds. The bass player was doin all of the lead vocals cuz the main lead singer from this video wasnt with them on that go round. They sounded great as usual and they were real nice fellas

  • enjoyed listening to this tune. Can recall the days when this was first being played on the radio.

  • One of the best songs ever?? Probably. This band is STILL out there, going strong, playing Medina Entertainment Center every year since.....1900??! hahaha

  • Those days were really cool. Little River Band, Atlanta Rythym Section, Hall & Oates, Ambrosia.....those were the days. I had given up on music in the 90s.Then around 02 I started discovering some whole new worlds of music especially in europe.Bands like Nightwish and Edenbridge are equals to Pink Floyd. However, nowhere is there anything like LRB. I have to go to my yesteryear collection to hear them....ON CASSETTE! I got 2 oldschool playlists that will take you back. You'll love it.

  • @kevingthompson13 In 1990, The Black Crowes were just getting started, and I loved their work, played on Now and Zen with Robert Plant live, I barely recall the show, but I WAS THERE!

  • i am onyl watching this because it was in the other guys

  • Absolutely love it! Brings back old memories.................

  • Zona Retro from Argentina, thank you for posting this gem! Muchas gracias !!!

  • This was when the music industry really cared about giving the audience music made my true musicians with talent. This was also the time when the audience demanded good music and the standards were high. I still demand good music and my standards are still high, but the music industry no longer cares, so that is why I stick to the great music of the past -- but it remains ever so present!

  • @80srule4ever Amen

  • @DaveyGB Thank you Davey!!!

  • @80srule4ever I have too whole heartedly disaggree with you. I was thinking that until about 7 years ago and I worked this European Rock event called ProgPowerUSA. Bands like Sabaton, Nightwish, Delain, and Edenbridge will blow you away. Then there is brand new ASIA out last year. Go check out my TOTALLY MUSIC/ARTIST CHANNEL.The playlists are fabulous and very long. You'll love all the OLD stuff and much of the new. Almost all my channel friends ARE bands, some REALLY cool ones like FOREIGNER.

  • @kevingthompson13 But in mentioning some of these bands you denote being in agreement with me and not in disagreement. Bands like ASIA and FOREIGNER are not new but seasoned ones formed in decades past. I LOVE THEM !! About checking out the new bands you mention, I will do that. Of course there is talent out there (around the world), but they do not get the notoriety or airplay that was commonplace in the past. So, I continue to listen and attend concerts of the bands and groups I know.

  • @kevingthompson13 I mix metal and old classic AOR, as well as anything under the radar, and my playlist represents bands I have in my own collection, because I NEVER use iTunes, I buy old and new recordings locally, in stores! HA!

  • @MetallicBill Hey dude, I got over 1000 cassettes. Then theres the record albums, some 8 tracks and cds. Its great to find a multi generational music supporter. I still bet you will find so many bands you dont know on my channel. I got bands that check me out often and email me concerning the comprehensive playlists. I got people using these things for radio. They just pick a list and start it, let it auto play through.I actually work around bands often and did this as a way to support them.

  • @kevingthompson13 Well, I could see them LIVE here in the days ahead, Yep! They playing LIVE my friend! I still have LPs, I got Cassettes, LaserDisc, Beta, MiniDisc, DAT, and what else? CDs, DVDs of course

  • @MetallicBill Since you are a music head too, have you checked out my channel? There are around 140 actual bands as official friends of this effort, 8-10 record labels, and another 15+ that are musicians. Even some legendary bands like:Foreigner, TRIUMPH, Heart, Stryper, and Molly Hatchet. Then theres the awesome newer bands like: Delain, Edenbridge, Sabaton, and Epica. I am definately not a band fan, but a total supporter of music. You'll like that channel, I'm sure of it. Check the playlists.

  • @kevingthompson13 If I get friend Subscription invites, or something along those lines, I look at the channels, but I just Favorite the songs I enjoy , rather then use the YT Playlists, but I basically click on the Related clips for interviews and rare footage, There's so much I missed living in Middle America!! They never show this stuff on regular media outlets, Certainly not on MTV or VH1!

  • @MetallicBill You mean in middle America you didnt live in a little pink house built by John Cougar Melloncamp, as a Refugee with Tom Petty, down in KANSAS, swinging your Molly Hatchet, all the way to CHICAGO, looking for a .38 Special so you could shoot at ZZ Tops? Being in middle america was not tantamount to the artic tundra man. ARE YOU A HUSKER or A Sooner? A Hawkeye, or a Badger? An Illini or a Hoosier? Im sposed to be an ignorant southern boy. I still got bands, and football: GO DAWGS!

  • @kevingthompson13 Nope, too busy WAITING FOR THE BUS ALL DAY! But I did hear Jesus Just Left Chicago, now were they referring to the band!?

  • @MetallicBill No, they were refering to Harry Carey. By the way, on the bus thing.....At least it wasnt the MTA, I hear that Charlie had never returned. Now thats old school (Kingston Trio).

  • @80srule4ever right fucking on!!!!

  • @smokiebird06 Thank you for your comment! Happy 2012!

  • @TheRattyrattyrat You are absolutely right. This is good music

  • love this group

  • this is real music ,,, amazing voice and harmony these guys are bad ass

  • BASS PLAYER'S SOLO MAKE'S THE SONG...FORGOT HOW MANY HIT'S LRB HAD..

  • One of my favourites from Little River Band. Brilliant vocals and harmonies from them, and a great lead guitar solo from Steve Housden, who is still going strong these days in the music industry.

  • This song takes me back to when my ex girlfriend and I broke up man this song got me through it and for that i will always remember it :^) thanks.

  • This was my high school music. Brings back some incredible memories of old friends long gone and all the good times we had. Fantastic video!

  • I always like Glenn the best, but when wayne comes in at 2:14 he goes straight for the high notes !

    great job and great band!

  • Love it!

  • i really like this song

  • This song isn't good!! It's really good!!!

  • oh my god... this is a real song.

  • I love this song

  • All I can say is their harmony gives me goosebumps.

  • @slotsoluck7 I'm with you .....great band!

  • The bass player definitely had a good enough voice to be a lead singer. Wonder if he ever did.

  • That was music!! Esto era música!! Das war Musik!!! Ohne Zweifeln....

  • @Suessserat ...tiene razon esto si era exelente musica

  • Es una de las canciones más hermosas que se han hecho...

  • @Martin7080 ........asi es comparto con usted totalmente de acurdo

  • I remember I had a crush on the singer (since he sang Lady in 1978) and I felt so eroticized when I saw him bearded, it was my favorite video just starting 1982 - the song is so great that I feel the years never passed...

  • This song brings back a lot of memories for me....I love it..

  • Can't wait to see these guys this summer!! Should be a great concert.

  • @Sheldon66 Sorry to break the bad news but you'll be spending your hard earned cash on a cover band that happens to be called the LRB.

  • @hr2trl.....yeah I know it's not the original band. I believe there is 1 or 2 members that are originals touring....none of their singers though :-(

  • @Sheldon66 Actually, the bass player, Wayne Nelson, is the lead singer now, including the songs Glen Shorrock sang, but who knows who these other guys are? The band is going to be at a local fair, and I'm debating where I should go, just because the band is Wayne Nelson and four strangers.

  • @isitrealgood to further that thought... considering the fact that "Birtles, Shorrock, and Goble" are original members and have not ruled out touring together again, I'd say that it is worth it to see the LRB glorified cover band version just because Wayne did sing on a classic track or two, but I can't really call them LRB when Shorrock and co have been out there together so recently, and may be again someday.

  • Nice : - )

  • Also, the guitarist in this video Stephen Housden didn't play a note on the Time Exposure album, David Briggs (who did the excellent lead guitar on Diamintina Cocktail (US version), Sleeper Catcher and First Under the Wire) did those blazing lead guitars on the classic Little River Band songs and albums. I own First Under the Wire and Time Exposure on LP and transferred to CD as Capitol won't re-release either of those classic LRB albums.

  • I dedicated it to Daniel for rich my life that day I will always remember you!

  • Pop perfection : )

  • WOW!! I haven't heard this is years... great song!!!

  • Bass players got a great voice.

  • That's add-on member Wayne Nelson. He's actually singing for Beeb Birtles (imo the better singer) who stupid Goble thought was a better singer than Birtles. That started all the friction in the band. Wayne Nelson & guitarist Steve Houden basically stole ALL the music that Birtles, Shorrock & Goble wrote, stole the name of the band by getting lawyer scumbags. Poser fraud cover band to this very day. This featured original LRB members-Birtles, Shorrock & Goble. Birtles is WAY better than Wayne.

  • excellent knowledge and the damn truth. i refuse to see them to this day b/c of it. nothing but a gay cover band. birtles voice was one in a million for there type of play.

  • One of my favorite bands.Reminds me of better days in high school.Used to play this whole cd a few years ago in a bar in NY.People loved it!

  • Vocal harmonies just soar. Makes my hair stand up. I wish we had musicians like this today.

  • ive got this song on 45 vinyl record

  • The industry doesn't have song writers and singers like this anymore.

  • Pop music at its' best! These guys are great musicians who released MANY fabulous tunes.

  • If there was any video that I would take on a long voyage into space, it would be this one.

  • Wow it's so very difficult to determine which song is LRBs best....they are all great...but this one has to be way up at the top of the list!

  • Ditto. I`m with`ya there.

  • Oh my gosh. Glenn Sharrock is sooooooo sexy in this video. He is just beautiful...yes, I was just 11 when this song came out so I never realized how handsome he was. I guess he still is...He is also very handsome in the Lonesome Loser video (without the beard!!!!)

  • There is only LRB with Glen...after he left I never considered them LRB any longer. This was my favorite of theirs and I was quite upset that it was his last album with them. Funny thing was, the next year they were on tour because of all of their success with Glenn singing lead. Everyone was going to see them all over the USA with that new singer who couldn't hold a candle to GS and they were all saying how awesome LRB was. I knew they wouldn't approach the success that they had with Glen

  • You are so right. Sometimes it is better to leave good things alone. I did not realize that the guy named Wayne came to the group later on...I thought he was there from the beginning. I have been reading up on their history. Such an awesome band!!!

  • Bass player Wayne Nelson (balding with the hat) is a fantastic singer, and his contribution ans singing on the last album with GS should not be minimized...in fact he and Glenn trading off on vocals in this song is the reason that it is my very fav LRB song right behind Glenn's "Reminiscing". Just listen to the harmony between Glenn and Wayne with the others backing them! I think that they really missed the boat by not continuing to let GS be the main man of the group. I suspect some jealousy...

  • What do you think about "Cool Change" that Glenn wrote. Such awesome lyrics. I also like "Lady", "Man On Your Mind", "Lonesome Loser", "Night Owls", well, I guess just about everything of theirs that was a radio success. Thanks for your comments, I've enjoyed them.

  • All great but I love Reminiscing and Take it easy on me as #1 and #2. LOL on Night Owls that is Wayne Nelson singing lead...it is a great song as well. Here in Pittsburgh Pa folks were going nuts about LRB in 1983 and Glenn wasn't with them anymore...everyone thought I was nuts but I had to keep telling them that from the songs that they heard on the radio would be sung by different people when they went to the concert to see them.

  • @johnnykov In fact, Time Exposure (which was Glenn Shorrock's last studio album with The Little River Band) was the last hit album for the band here in the US (all of the three previous studio albums were million sellers as was TE). The first album with John Farnham taking over for Glenn called The Net was a huge flop. When I heard Glenn was either fired or left, I stopped listening. In fact, I don't like John Farnham's voice.

  • Camera work at 3:02 to 3:09 when the camera draws away from in front of each as they step up to the microphone one at a time...awesome!

  • I am glad I am not the only one who feels that way...all my friends think I am mad, but I think Glenn is the epitome of sexy! Back then and even now....like I have said before, he can sing me to sleep any night!

  • You're right. Glenn is s-e-x-y!!!! And his voice is wonderful!! Glad you feel the same!!

  • One of my favorites of this tremendous band, I love all of their songs, but I do have my favorited and I listen to them often.

  • excelente video

  • great song by legendary australian artists

  • Superb song, very sexy lead singer! Timeless classic!
