  • That reminds me some of Polish PLUS GSM ads from 1999-2004.

  • I'll add that Bonomi's language is not only gibberish, but he often inserts comments in dialect from Milan :)

  • Molto bello!!! La linea rimane un capolavoro dell'originalità italiana. Peccato che noi italiani non siamo stati capaci di apprezzarla come il resto dell'Europa

  • ma cosa dici? parla per te io adoro la linea

  • gia e' fantastica!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mi riferivo al fatto che in Italia non è stata più riproposta come invece in alcuni stati europei.

  • what is the translation to that?

  • @slamminsammie87 It is simply a funny mix of sounds...sometimes it's possible to recognize Italian words (Milan's slang), sometimes French or English...but they are not really relevant because there is not any language structure...Enjoy the cartoon and the sounds...it's all there!

  • @pallllina And that's really how they should be enjoyed.

  • it is a good video, but i don't understand what he say!!?

  • your not supose 2 understand him:P

  • You must imagine what he says : it is NOT a language , It's like a grammelot , a NON verbal language that mix many sounds , onomatopeics words , same phrases in Milan's dialect, etc. . It is common in cartoons ( especially those of Poland and CECHIA to use this kind of language ). By and enjoy with the videos

  • hehe come e scemo

  • you have great cartoonists and comicartists in Italy. nearly all Walt Disney comicbook story's

for the european market, are produced in italy.

Needles to say, that there are many other "fantastic" italian toonstars.

    Multo bene !!!

  • Super.

  • to je super!!!IS COOL!!!

  • "He was voiced by Carlo Bonomi in Italian gibberish" IS not properly exact.

La Linea mumbled something that seems and sound like the Milan dialect/patois.

Some phrases make sense if you live around Milan city, some others are too quick and mumbled to be intelleggible or has no sense whatsoever, but the accend and sound is always milan-ish.

Of course, if you live away from Milan, it's gibberish: as is the language of some aliens in Star Wars.

  • Only some words can be catched, the rest is word jerking, and yeah, it's Milanese ;)

  • Bellissimo!!!!

  • io lo adoro questo cartone animato!!! veramente spettacolare!!!

  • Grandissimo dall'inizio alla fine!

  • elles sont geniales les videos la linea, ou peut on se les procurer?

  • Most brilliant shit ever

  • THe horse laughing cracked me up bigtime!

  • Funny. :D I remember this on Norwegian TV in the 70's and 80's as a kid. :)

    Thanks for sharing. :)

  • 10 e lode

  • süper ya

  • Fascinating to see all this artwork without computers, thanks for sharing !

  • In Italy "il Signor Linea" (Mr. Linea) was a character used in the 50ies, 60ies and 70ies to advertise a very popular brand of pans (Lagostina).

In the dubbing of Carlo Bonomi, an Italian could understand some words of the dialect spoken in Milan, the city where Carlo Bonomi was born.

  • La Linea was created in 1969.

  • Sorry, I thought it was older...

  • No problem :-)

  • Jævlig fine. lenge siden eg har SETT "stregen", har bare SNIFFA "stregen" de sise årå,haha!!! AAD.
