Worst presenter ever, but that aside this is the most ridiculous new policy yet. What sort of Pleasantville does anyone think this will create?
"Businesses own the property and the city should not fine them for something on their OWN property" BINGO!
Who has access for expression? Let's just make it all ads and generate revenue for the city right? Revenue that can go towards improving the roads to get more people from the burbs into our downtown core. Shiit.
@raisecain couldn't agree more. Complete idiot policy to force property owners to clean it off THEIR own property. It should and will be their decision. Not the city's dumbass policy that will not work one bit.
I'd rather just pay someone to do a nice piece of graffiti/art over the shitty pieces than pay someone to remove it because the city is telling me to do so.
I strongly agree to that. It would also be a complete waste of the city's time to remove it i mean it's an art form that won't go away no matter what it's always going to be a part of history forever. Even i believe that it's an artform and that it can be positive in many ways of beautifying a boring or a negatively tagged up surface of a building wall.
the graffiti looks good when its done right... i hear alot of people GIVE permission for good artists who paint graffiti art and the city charges them with fines. not really fair to charge someone over trying to clean up the negative stuff
So what if i was a buisness owner who liked the graffiti on my walls?

WE get taxed so that WE have to clean it up, seems very heavily weighted on their side imo

And small independent businesses already have tight budgets, and now they will be fined for something THEY CANNOT CONTROL?!
