tips don't really affect the sound, wanna get a better sound switch the muffler. Flowmasters and magnaflows, and almost any exhaust are known to get raspy at high RPM on a v6 camaro or firebird. It's because of how the muffler is designed for gas flow
actually its because these camaro's came with GM's 60 degree block. its narrower than other engines. research a 96+ 3.8 camaro and then research an older 3.8 GM like a buick regal or something like it and you'll notice the difference. the muffler has nothing to do with the raspyness. yes some do muffle it a bit more but its still there cuz the way the block is designed
Dude that sounds so sick. I have 2001 V6 Camaro and im getting my Flowmasters installed on thursday i cant wait and going out to get my CAI that day to. Where did you order/buy your CAI from?
did you notice any increase in power when you added the throttle body spacer and the CAI? i have a 1990 integra and it's pretty quick compared to my friends civics and crap like that but im probably getting a 2000 - 2002 v6 'bird and i dont know if it's going to disappoint me or not
this is the best sound ive ever heard on a v6 camaro

hell, my ls1 camaro sounds raspy with any muffler too... the best sounding v6 to me is straight piped with small piping and small tips.

yeah, a lot of it is cuzza the crossflow muffler on em

yeah. that's why i like the loudmout series. without a resonator on it. or GMMG.
