There is no black music..Music is owned by Jews..They enslaved us and own slave ships now they enslave our minds with bad music..When the devil took control of hip hop it stopped being poor..Now like blue,Jazz, Pop, and Rap it is owned and used by the white devils...
I had a profound revelation concerning the current state of black music. The "black chord" and "blue notes" are no longer seasoning our music as commonly as it once did.Which is why so much of it feels like it lacks soul.I feel that those chords and notes were given to us for a reason. Throughout slavery and Jim Crow, these were the most potent healing notes and chords that allowed us to make it through but if u listen to music now, including so-called hip-hop, the tones and chords are missing.
It's sad how we let people tell us what we can be are how we should be. If you've ever lived in a poor city you know how depressing it can be. I'm not black but there aren't to many differences between any of the people in the ghetto. We all need to eat but we also all need to grow in many ways and the first is by getting along and stopping this black vs. browns or asians. If we all unite we would have better futures.

ur a fucking idiot ..did u not listen to enemy of the state? did u not hear what lupe was saying? he's trying to sound like wayne?? ur retarded...Common didnt sell out he tried to take a different approach with 1 album..1 album what the fuck are u doing besides bitching? wtf are any of u doing besides bitching..if the answer is nothing then u clearly need to stffu n find something to do
bitch...yes i heard enemy of state...i was referring to his delivery maybe i should have been clearer...and yes common is a sellout along with most of the other artists associated with GOOD Music Ent...so fuck you i know what i am talking about...and i am simply stating my opinion maybe you need to find something better to do than reading all the comments on this video and getting upset because we dont share the same opinions lmao gtf...and the only person that i see bitching here is you
Maybe its just me but I see and feel the same deep and metaphysical connecting energy in basketball. I would definitely say if hip-hop was a sport it would be basketball.
@phoneke Agreed...of all the team sports, no doubt. Skating & snowboarding have given me that connection. I`ve always thought it`s hard to take the `gangsta` out of a 100 foot backside 180* !
The frequency wave for healing is 528 Hz....so we developed those drum patterns the same way we deveolped the patterns that were played & channeled thru vinyl records (with the diamond needle)...sacred sciences here and over there!!!
What Professor Griff is missing is that Christianity is not the enemy. Churchianity probably is. Music is music. It is the lyrics that matter and the spirit or attitude behind the words.
he is not saying christianity is the enemy, but rather the versions of christianity we have been taught. yashua would not have called himself a god for us to bow to and worship, but rather would have had us know we all have the spirit of god living in us, and to respect that personal spiritual bond we all have with god. also as for music this war isnt just about the beats and lyrics, but also the frequency in which the music is being transmitted over the sound waves. look up leonard horowitz
Actually the only original genres that ever originated in the United States are Jazz, Gospel, and Blues. All other music today is just fusions of the three.
Bro. Richard (Prof. Griff's real name) is really dropping knowledge. This is part of what he and Chuck was trying to do when they formed Public Enemy.
my brothers & I discuss the state of Hip Hop today...on one hand it is the heart and soundtrack of our culture whether it be black, latino, or whatever. it has also become a money making industry for the rich...I think we need to draw a line between the pop shit and the real.
I just wish hop hop wasn't so hack, and actually had a message like it did when 2PAC was doin his thing. Now the sound of hip hop is so diluted and meaningless, kids have become victims of medeocracy. I want music that requires talent back. I want the Isley Brothers. I want Kool and the Gang back.
i agree with you i am a teenager and i am very tired of hearing the music that is on the radios know it makes me sick some times looking at my fellow pierces and how they talk about this artist sayin the dope and all this other crap and i am tired of ppl saying they can rap when they cant...smh things will change if i have anything to say about it and with the help of the good lord things will turn around i dont know how you feel about this but there should be alot more views
I can't believe he just said Kanye and Common are the only rappers with substance and only after-thoughted Lupe Fiasco. Does he listen to Lupe Fiasco's shit?
Man Professor Griff you drop nothing but insightful truth! He could of gotten deeper and said that Kanye West and Common promote this new Masonic Illuminati Propaganda. But then it would of became too "conspiracy theorish" for people, and the masses get uncomfortable n shit knowing that some of these rappers literally sign their souls to the Devil and do fuckin Oaths n shit, blood sacrifices. The Music industry is literally Hell.
sorry but HipHop is over 30 years old. turn off the radio and the mtv and the bet and cop some real HipHop and you will hear some musical mastery both technical and creative. music only takes years of practice and training if you are naturally tone deaf and uncreative. real music comes from the heart and soul not squiggly lines on a piece of paper. you don't have to like HipHop but just because you don't like how something sounds does not make it not music. hate picasso still recognize it as art
mariah carey isnt music!the isley brothers is music, earth wind & fire is music, smokey robinson is music, the jackson 5 is music, conscious hip-hop is music, conscious reggae is music, bob marley is music...mariah carey is watered down soul music which = pop music.
are you a fucking idiot? is all i have to say.....
hip hop was born in the 70s. commercialized in the 80s. learn your facts you fucking idiot- dont open ur mouth till you do! ignorant as fuck! atleast know what ur talkin about before makin stupid embarassing statements!
hip hop is music. mozart is a skilled genius. but i bet mozart couldnt take bill evans - "what are you doing with the rest of your life" and make into "the rhyme remix"
and what about dudes like quest love. he plays the drums. is that not music?
They know becuase theyre own people- rule them. OUR CAPTURERS have ruled us. there are NO other people like the AMERICAN BLACK MAN- yes, we are the MOST DANGEROUS threat of revolution in the western hemisphere, infact. THATS WHY the man, is making it a duty to control patterns of the black man. monitoring his every move and thought.
k maybe thats true- BUT, raggae certainly and DEF. did not impact every crack and corner of the world...IN THE WAY HIP HOP DID and HAS- look around- hip hop is an entire sub culture, or culture?! either way- yes you are right maybe but, nothing has changed the world like HIP HOP has. nothing! people talk hip hop, dress it, look it, act it- its a way of life, like raggae, but i think its obvious which one has had the larges effect on the world as a whole. hip hop has impacted earth like a drug!
1.without reggae we cudnt even b having this convo right now-it was BOB MARLEY who impacted THE WHOLE WORLD & introduced ppl to a different form of music dat was socially & politically CONSCIOUS.Hip-hop WAS an North Americanized version of reggae.I use WAS becuz hip-hop is now being used as a tool 2 destroy blacks, dis is y it was able 2 get as big as it is.
the freemasons got a hold of it & fucked it up. I recall bak in da day wen every rapper in their mama was Jamaican supposedly. Everybody was claiming 2 b Jamaican.
It's clear that during the PEAK of hip hop. the "GOLDEN ERA" (92-97 in my op.) so to speak, was the climax of hip hop!During this time, the music was NOT a "tool" for anyone but the people- it WAS a movement during this time (police, racism, islam, knowledge) and was at the height of its public criticism. 80s was more pure, yes- but.. during the G.Era, consciousness became global bc of HIP HOP. I never said Marley didnt do his thing in his time, and first! just dont think it reached that level.
Great point. 5th element of hip-hop is knowledge (unity), which is almost nonexistent in commercial hip-hop today. Personal accountability for what comes out of our mouths is a must (especially if we're in the public eye). Words are power-full.
Yep! U bet'cha! Black people are in the worst condition because we've been completely destroyed since slavery. Yet we pose the biggest threat to the white race if we rise up, unite thru rap music and RECLAIM rulership of the planet! We are the earth's Rightful Rulers!
As I read all of these comments, I see a bunch of paranoid conspiracy theorists who believe the government is out to 'dumb down' the black community with the poison of rap music...does that not sum it up?? Well, my question to you all is: Why us?, Why rap?....Why not Mexicans? Why not Asians?...Are we the only race with the capacity to spark a revolution? Are we the only race with a reason to revolt??...Answer me that.
My pitch summary as it will be: No. I live in Sweden,1.we are socialists,2.census isn't done by "racial division" here, only by country of origin,3.education even uni is tuition free For All, as with health care. That was a gradual revolution but very peaceful here in comparison,'n we were many the Anarchists 'n Socialists 'n the Commies:-)'n the Greens. Heck we don't need colour! - only as greenpeace 'n socialists here We are the International Enemies of the US of f A. And I'm proud of that :-)
Yep! U bet'cha! Black people are in the worst condition of all people because of slavery. The white people in power know if we were ever to rise up and unite thru rap music, we would RECLAIM rulership of the planet. We pose the biggest threat cause we're the earth's Rightful Rulers! HELLO!!!
Okay. Let's say I was to believe that mainstream hip hop was really a plot by "The Man" to destroy our culture...what are we going to do about it?? Force every rapper to talk about socially concious issues? Isn't that taking away their creative license? All I'm trying to say is that life is made up of negative and positive...I agree with the Prof. on some levels, but don't try to suck the fun out of music just because you feel oppressed.
I feel what you sayin there bro but check me out on this! None of that BULLSHIT matters- the straight up POINT is that it WAS NOT AN ACCIDENT that the most consciouss mass movement (HIP HOP) of the black man WAS RUINED AND WATERED DOWN- BROUGHT TO DESTRUCTION, BYYY DESIGN of the man! first when OUR MUSIC WAS OURS it was CONSIOUSS...look man...WE NEEDED THAT! AS A RACE. its gone. that music is no longer OURS. THEY tell us what it has to sound like- BECUASE THEY OWN IT. its the root, pay attention
THAT MAINSTREAM SHIT.....IS NOTTT HIP HOP. THATS THE POINT. THEY ARE TRYING TO FILL IN THE SPOT OF HIP HOP WIT SOMETHING THAT IS NOT IT. you can have fun and goof off and be loose and talk about all types of shit- BUT ITS THE IGNORANCE in the music. do you not see?
because rap was the most socially and politically consciouss driven music EVER. and it BELONGED to the black man. IT TAUGHT the black man- what he shouldnt know. It MOVED the masses of the black man- when they were suppose to be still. SyphaDaDiety.
Also, compare especially PE's hilarious & brilliant texts with the only European group on par, The Clash. Not rap, not hip hop, but g*dammit see their videos & their topics & lyrics. They are also misunderstood here. But they were it. I can't name any on par band from UK of their caliber since them. So I swear PE and Clash are GODS & Prophets and I'm their follower. When you piss people off to that extent, you know you're right. I know that because I'm in Law :-) Get a grip of yourselves people.
I'm 40 born 1968, ever since late 80's & 90's I've tried to get every dj at clubs here in Sweden to play PE. Each time, each & every single of them have looked as I just had told them I would kill them. I'm a tiny chick! I've now kept trying for almost 20 years! :-) It's a sport in itself! But they are such hypocrites, when I then say OK how about playing Arrested Development? (also the revolution) And yup that they can play, totally missing their lyric content. Also with Bob Marley, no probs.
I can't agree with Professor Griff's point of view. I believe that rap was created with the purpose of entertainment. You cannot expect rap artists to help shape your morals (Though there are political and conscious rappers)....that's what parents are for. So the thought that all rap should have a "deep", philosophical tone to it, defeats the original purpose of the genre. No one ever asks 'Screamo' artists to have smart lyrics, no one expects that of Pop artists...Society is scared of Rap.
I think the point is that politically infused music is not being brought to the main stream. We celebrate being ignorant and stupid as a nation, not just hip hop.
hip hop was defiance. it was partying in the face of the government bringing heroin to the streets in the 70's. partying in the face of the oppressor who drafted us for war but left us homeless when we got home. its not just entertainment...its food and knowledge. wake up. watch my man MIDNIGHT1DEMO below he's on point with this statement. its a massive miseducation tool. How you gonna have a black man call himself a Gorilla and be hip hop? Thats some covert ops foolishness right there son.
I'm 23 and for the past 4 years my suspicion has only grown. Rap is the best & fastest way to misteach the young black youth. If U don't believe me then go to the club tonight & U will see young people acting out what they have been taught. That includes Sex, Murder, Drug Use and every other disgraceful thing Zionist Media chooses to push into those young black minds. How do I know? I know first hand b/c I used to be 1 of the countless influenced by this so called music. People please wake up!
since when was there a black music that put down black people? SINCE WHEN...you're spot on boss. Todays hip hop is a sambo show. Its all about the illusion of what white kids think black kids were doing. Gangsta, thug, pimp ...all images that hip hop was trying to push us away from but now the black face show pays good coin to 50 and Kanyeezee so everyone's trying to do their best Steppin Fetchit..PEOPLE WAKE THE HELL UP
true words, rap with no redeeming quality nowadays, pure trash. interesting piece of info on using back keys only for composing spirituals. i didn't know that, bets on how many of our black children know that or even theadults.
hip hop was and it is a culture of self eduaction that empowers the people not only blacks that teaches awareness this society dosent want smart people they need dumb down brainwashed people to make them move like they want hip hop was and its the last cultural movement that teaches yaal must look back the 60's all the cultural movements where crushed this movement is crushed tru commercializing it and now they use it to fuck whit people mindes too
...Cont. One thing will soon be painfully clear though. It's MOST DEFINITELY NOT a black VS. white thing. It's a SUPER-WEALTHY ELITE VS. THE REST OF HUMANITY thing! We're ALL targets for extermination or slavery. The coming U.S. (world-wide?) depression is a well orchestrated exercise in wealth consolidation. The world economy is based on fraudulent "credit" (DEBT) that we're all conned into. The bill is due. Reports of food shortages all over the world are already starting. Engineerd Famine...
@NOMIND101 u are very right. we caught up in white vs black but thats been over, now dont get me wrong we still a lil pissed bout slavery but honestly thats only because we think the "white man" still doing it. its the rich elite powers thats behind all the corruption and we are not the only ones suffering anymore. we think we are cuz we always have been ya know? but people need to wake up. im starting to despise my people, just take a week and listen to "hip hop". watch what ya hear man. lol
Very smart. As a white man who has been intensely studying the corruption, deceit, and megalomania that are running this world, I am almost 100% positive that Griff is on the right track with his views on music as a weapon. To be more accurate, it's called "social engineering". This "science" has been used (in combination with control of capital *MONEY*) to corrupt, pervert, and weaponize black music, short-circuit black culture, and NEUTRALIZE (politically) the black population. Cont...
I didnt see him put anyone in chains, force them to work, rape them, beat them, stop them from learning or burn or lynch them. People dont even know what racist even means any more. Peace to Griff
First of all..he can't be racist because white people invented the concept of race. Secondly, you can only be basing your statement on a limited knowledge of what Professor Griff is about. He is not against white people he is for Black people and ultimately for all people. He works towards a better world for future generations. He is an honourable man who recognises and is supported by people of all races who believe in truth and justice. Peace.
Get off your racism, people. Stop blaming others for your problems, and take ownership of your life. When you take ownership back, then you take power back. When you take the power, then you can change anything you want. That is what the whites figured out, and also what liberated and wealthy blacks figured out, as well as any other successful person. Take ownership of your problems, and then you can solve them.
You guys did. Do you know Darwin's theor?. He believed blacks were first, mongoliods evolved from blacks, and Whites evolved from mongoloids. He felt the "higher races" naturally should exploit the "lower races". Alot of ppl believed this theory so they had no problem exploiting the black, red and yellow man. You'd think an "advanced" race would know better. Some Whites today still believe his theory.

What Professor Griff is missing is that Christianity is not the enemy. Churchianity probably is. Music is music. It is the lyrics that matter and the spirit or attitude behind the words.

GangstuhDora24 2 years ago
he is not saying christianity is the enemy, but rather the versions of christianity we have been taught. yashua would not have called himself a god for us to bow to and worship, but rather would have had us know we all have the spirit of god living in us, and to respect that personal spiritual bond we all have with god. also as for music this war isnt just about the beats and lyrics, but also the frequency in which the music is being transmitted over the sound waves. look up leonard horowitz

Actually the only original genres that ever originated in the United States are Jazz, Gospel, and Blues. All other music today is just fusions of the three.

As a former vice cop, I can tell you that the best way to deal with rappers and their entourage is to just let them kill each other.
As a white man, you can just sit back and watch it like a dogfight. You don't have to do any work, plant any evidence, no fuss, no muss.

Hip Hop isn't music.
Mozart is music. Music that thakes YEARS for mastery, practice, training.
Mariah Carey -when she stepped out onto the stage of the Apollo- that was music.
"hip hop" is little more than a product of the past 15 years of TV and pop culture.
And "Professor Griff" is one racist son of a gun.
redluckyhat3 2 years ago
sorry but HipHop is over 30 years old. turn off the radio and the mtv and the bet and cop some real HipHop and you will hear some musical mastery both technical and creative. music only takes years of practice and training if you are naturally tone deaf and uncreative. real music comes from the heart and soul not squiggly lines on a piece of paper. you don't have to like HipHop but just because you don't like how something sounds does not make it not music. hate picasso still recognize it as art

mariah carey isnt music!the isley brothers is music, earth wind & fire is music, smokey robinson is music, the jackson 5 is music, conscious hip-hop is music, conscious reggae is music, bob marley is music...mariah carey is watered down soul music which = pop music.

u mean REGGAE not rap.Reggae was the most socially and politically conscious driven music which eventually gave birth to hip-hop.
blendigoindigo 2 years ago 3
k maybe thats true- BUT, raggae certainly and DEF. did not impact every crack and corner of the world...IN THE WAY HIP HOP DID and HAS- look around- hip hop is an entire sub culture, or culture?! either way- yes you are right maybe but, nothing has changed the world like HIP HOP has. nothing! people talk hip hop, dress it, look it, act it- its a way of life, like raggae, but i think its obvious which one has had the larges effect on the world as a whole. hip hop has impacted earth like a drug!
TheLecturer101 2 years ago

Are we the only race with a reason to revolt??...Answer me that.

SyphaDaDiety031 3 years ago
TheLecturer101 2 years ago
THAT MAINSTREAM SHIT.....IS NOTTT HIP HOP. THATS THE POINT. THEY ARE TRYING TO FILL IN THE SPOT OF HIP HOP WIT SOMETHING THAT IS NOT IT. you can have fun and goof off and be loose and talk about all types of shit- BUT ITS THE IGNORANCE in the music. do you not see?
TheLecturer101 2 years ago
because rap was the most socially and politically consciouss driven music EVER. and it BELONGED to the black man.

AnnTajitu 3 years ago
I'm 40 born 1968, ever since late 80's & 90's I've tried to get every dj at clubs here in Sweden to play PE. Each time, each & every single of them have looked as I just had told them I would kill them. I'm a tiny chick! I've now kept trying for almost 20 years! :-) It's a sport in itself! But they are such hypocrites, when I then say OK how about playing Arrested Development? (also the revolution) And yup that they can play, totally missing their lyric content. Also with Bob Marley, no probs.

TheLecturer101 2 years ago
I can't agree with Professor Griff's point of view. I believe that rap was created with the purpose of entertainment. You cannot expect rap artists to help shape your morals (Though there are political and conscious rappers)....that's what parents are for. So the thought that all rap should have a "deep", philosophical tone to it, defeats the original purpose of the genre. No one ever asks 'Screamo' artists to have smart lyrics, no one expects that of Pop artists...Society is scared of Rap.
SyphaDaDiety031 3 years ago
I think the point is that politically infused music is not being brought to the main stream. We celebrate being ignorant and stupid as a nation, not just hip hop.

hip hop was defiance. it was partying in the face of the government bringing heroin to the streets in the 70's. partying in the face of the oppressor who drafted us for war but left us homeless when we got home. its not just entertainment...its food and knowledge. wake up. watch my man MIDNIGHT1DEMO below he's on point with this statement. its a massive miseducation tool. White people invented the concept of race?
HAHAHAHAHAA! Very funny.
