MMA isn't real martial arts. I've trained with some "mma" fighters..and they were a total joke. Their stand up game was about as good as a really green amatuer kickboxer...they couldn't strike for shit...I'm serious, and on the ground where they were the best, they were average at best...and thats called martial arts? haha what a joke. and I swear, 99% of the fans live in a trailer park too...a joke sport for mad teenage boys.

Dana White is the Vince McMahon of MMA. Don King is the Vince McMahon of Boxing. I think UFC can survive and so far it has done a good job at not messing the original formula up.
Their is only a 5% cross over in ppv sales between UFC and WWE....10% cross over between UFC and boxing fans....but apart from that some good points....and i agree that the long term survival of the UFC we be when the Ultimate Fighter finishes.

MMA isn't real martial arts. I've trained with some "mma" fighters..and they were a total joke. Their stand up game was about as good as a really green amatuer kickboxer...they couldn't strike for shit...I'm serious, and on the ground where they were the best, they were average at best...and thats called martial arts? haha what a joke. and I swear, 99% of the fans live in a trailer park too...a joke sport for mad teenage boys.

I agree UFC 125 was last week and the main event was weak. Nobody knew who the fuck Maynard or Edgar were. I bet the buy rate was piss poor. Also yes, Dana does treat UFC more as entertainment than a sport. If you notice he only promotes aggressive fighters. Also, he always want to see a finish and always state not to leave the fight in the hands of the judges. So that being said it's not too hard to compare UFC to WWE.

MMA is the new combative sport for the 21 century. Americans have finally realized that there is more to fighting then just two men punching each other with big gloves on. The UFC is becoming like the NFL, other organizations have tried to compete with them and have failed, yet football is huge. Same with the NBA, MLB, and the NHL. In sports there is room for only one major organization and the UFC is it. The smaller MMA events will continue to develop fighters for the UFC.

their gloves are more ounces, but they do have to block and strike through more amounts of hits.. boxing, can go 2 to 3 seconds with one punch being thrown.. mma can nearly 1 minute with a decent strike being thrown one way or the other.. so even if you guys don't wear BIG GLOVES..gloves..you sure and the hell don't' make up for it by striking more.. so i'd rather see MMA with more ounces if it's gonna take the bitch out of them and finally get some good striking.. hey F shamrock agrees....

Tyson, Ali, Lennox, Pacquiao, Mayweather all proved to be people not to fuck with. so you cant say who might win in a match cause we will never know. MMA for me seems very primitive, watching a bunch on apes hugging each other on the ground for most of the fight. Thats how i see MMA, i guess it appeals to a younger crowd
