People won't "take advantage" of the justice system if the investigations done were airtight. But, if the cops left a lot of inconsistencies and holes in the investigation, which they normally do due to lack of training, the accused will go free. The cops should get at least basic training and follow the procedures strictly.

People say "oh its wrong" probably never experienced how bad things are in Manila and Cebu. I've lived in Manila and in Davao, and I can clearly see that I feel so much safer in Davao despite being in Mindanao where many are afraid of the terrorists. Of course I'm just basing this off from experience and my opinion. Yes Philippines is CORRUPT....every city and nation is corrupt to an extent....but i'd rather have it this way than how things are run in Manila. Those people made their choice.

It is not as simple as to say you are not a Christian if you agree with the mayor. It is God who puts the government in place to serve the people. This mayor has said time and time again, he intends on protecting the people of Davao City. This is a very complicated situation. Simple explanations won't fit here. In the US so many of our young die in the streets and the government does very little except lock up criminals. $100,000 per year is what US tax payers have to pay to lock up each thug.

but the system has been taken all over the phil. let look for example as in truth. my place b4 has been peacefull enough with only a few death about once a year in some drunk fights and little almost no motorcycles has been carnapped. but now 3-5 people dead in a month and worst 3-5 dead in a week. and almost everyday motorcycles has been stolen every week and about 50-50% of them the owner has been shot dead. robbery has flung up too. i cnt see no other reason for dat but the current events.

People won't "take advantage" of the justice system if the investigations done were airtight. But, if the cops left a lot of inconsistencies and holes in the investigation, which they normally do due to lack of training, the accused will go free. The cops should get at least basic training and follow the procedures strictly.

I've lived in Manila and in Davao, and I can clearly see that I feel so much safer in Davao despite being in Mindanao where many are afraid of the terrorists. Of course I'm just basing this off from experience and my opinion. It is not as simple as to say you are not a Christian if you agree with the mayor. It is God who puts the government in place to serve the people. This mayor has said time and time again, he intends on protecting the people of Davao City. This is a very complicated situation. Simple explanations won't fit here. In the US so many of our young die in the streets and the government does very little except lock up criminals. $100,000 per year is what US tax payers have to pay to lock up each thug.

the City is safer under Duterte's rule, safer in the sense that there is a lower crime rate compared to the leadership of past mayors.. simple as that..

Im sorry to disagree but i don't think it takes a devil to fight a devil coz they're of the same kind. Don't u believe in the Power of our almighty God? Aren't u a christian? You can't kill someone coz they are criminals..You can't stop crime by doing another crime.Coz it makes you a criminal urself just like them.

the mayor does not have the right to take the law in to his own hands. the killings have stretched towards 13 and 12 year old adolescents. that is not how to prosper by killing our future. it takes more intelligence to inspire which is obvious in this case when the mayor resorts to violence for an answer.

@iceboy219 davao is the most livable city in the philippines.. hes doings seems to be wrong but in the end it taught that being a criminal is wrong also.. be a criminal then u will die.. dont be and u will live. simple as that.
