There are many, many free (and playable) apps on the Apple App Store. Whereas if you want anything good on the android you have to pay. And wtf is with the 100-200 tablet specific apps?...
The key here isn't the phones , its the OS on both, I think Android has more variations - widgets - notify panel - flash .. Apple is limited. As far as apps , android has gained considerable ground ...

Bottom line is I went with a droid x due to several more features that it had over the iphone including bigger screen and flash player. My good friend got the iphone 4 and we compared. Do not judge the Droid X if you have not tried it. I have an Ipad and a Droid X and I think they are both awesome in there own way. The innovations that Google keeps coming out with keeps me with Android for my phone. I Pad has replaced my computer because I have found it better then the net book I had. The voice search on Android is awesome. I like the fact that you can tell it to call a place and it will do it. The new Android web market and rumored music store are cool too. I like SD cards.

My phone beats these 2 little crappy devices. My Motorola DynoTAC flip phone has the true essence of mobility and style. With it's 1.4 inch display and it's sleek stylish 3 inch retractable antenna, reception and clarity is no problem. In general, I think the Droid clearly outdoes the iPhone, but I am finally sold by the accessibility and reliability of the iTunes Store and the App Store. Indeed, the music feature of the iPhone is the best I've seen on any cell-phone, and that sells me more than anything else.

Most of Androids exclusive "feature" advantages are outgunned by those exclusives on iOS. For the amount of Android phones available, and on every network, Android SHOULD be outselling the iPhone by much more than it is. Marketing isn't "magic". The best products sell themselves.
@buukyak Also worth noting. I brought my iPhone over to a friend's house, who'd just bought his entire family Droid X phones. With the exception of the LED flashlight app being brighter, everything else was outmatched by my iPhone 4. StarWalk on iOS was amazing compared to Google's astronomy app. Playing movies on YouTube HD were much silkier, and overall the games I had were orders of magnitude more sophisticated and gorgeous. I showed him the AR app Theodolite and he had to admit it rocked.
@buukyak Droid's are cool but i was just able to check out my friend's recording studio in his basement from clear across the country via FaceTime over 3G using a free app, and there was nothing garbage about it. It's one of those things you've got to experience yourself to appreciate. But as you say, first you've got to "admit" you want it.
Cost is only $200.00.
And if people only purchased Apple's products because of marketing, Apple TV's would be flying off the shelf, which they're not.

@speedgamer303 Droid X cannot hold more apps than iPhone 4. You need to switch between onboard and external memory, and in many cases, the smaller onboard memory runs out and you have to make some tough decisions. It's actually affected the type of apps and how they store media and install, and many strongly recommend avoiding running from the SD if you have a choice. You'll notice many Andoid apps have a 2 part install to get around its limits.
I like my motorola w385. It sends and recieves texts, Phone calls, browes the web pretty fast, plays games, takes 700x700 resolution pictures, and supports gif animation. Plus I have never been in a dead zone from texas to alabama to florida. Plus on top of that I only pay 7 dollars a month for unlimited. :D

the iPhone have better graphic quality and better apps and games, anybody knows that they forgot to mention that. my husband have a droid and I have an iPhone, and I can see that :) droid have some better futures that I like too, but i prefer the iPhone :) Verizon is to expense

My phone beats these 2 little crappy devices. My Motorola DynoTAC flip phone has the true essence of mobility and style. With it's 1.4 inch display and it's sleek stylish 3 inch retractable antenna, reception and clarity is no problem. I don't even have to worry about batter life because it has to be plugged up to my car at all times. So what if these phones can text message and surf the web. My motorola can give you cancer! Eat that "SMARTPHONES"

In general, I think the Droid clearly outdoes the iPhone, but I am finally sold by the accessibility and reliability of the iTunes Store and the App Store. Indeed, the music feature of the iPhone is the best I've seen on any cell-phone, and that sells me more than anything else.

@cole121444 yeah apple makes the best devices!! that is why a "HANDHELD" device loses it's signal when you actually hold it with your bare "HANDS", so use gloves!! not to mention "IPAD" the best device out there that is priced like a laptop but does only half or less of what a laptop can do, not to mention that they sell you IPAD to be a TOUCH SCREEN and here I am @ best buy seeing them apple selling you a PHYSICAL KEYBOARD for the IPAD. not to mention mac priced 2x a windows does 1/4 of windows

Everyone knows the iPhone 4 is garbage...even iPhone 4 users (even if they won't admit it). There's simply no comparison on the features that count. Who cares about ultra-sharp display? Great. It's like a 3.5" screen. Apple's sheep will buy anything they make...Steve Jobs could take a shit in a box and the Apple marketing department could get those dipshits to buy it...for about $800 a pop, too. Get a clue. My Droid X could knock the shit out of your iPhone's ass.

@buukyak If the popularity with developers on the iOS was all about marketing, they would be an amazingly astute pack of fools. iOS has the BEST mobile developers on that platform because it is the BEST mobile OS. Most of Androids exclusive "feature" advantages are outgunned by those exclusives on iOS. For the amount of Android phones available, and on every network, Android SHOULD be outselling the iPhone by much more than it is. Marketing isn't "magic". The best products sell themselves.

@buukyak Also worth noting. I brought my iPhone over to a friend's house, who'd just bought his entire family Droid X phones. With the exception of the LED flashlight app being brighter, everything else was outmatched by my iPhone 4. StarWalk on iOS was amazing compared to Google's astronomy app. Playing movies on YouTube HD were much silkier, and overall the games I had were orders of magnitude more sophisticated and gorgeous. I showed him the AR app Theodolite and he had to admit it rocked.

@buukyak Droid's are cool but i was just able to check out my friend's recording studio in his basement from clear across the country via FaceTime over 3G using a free app, and there was nothing garbage about it. It's one of those things you've got to experience yourself to appreciate. But as you say, first you've got to "admit" you want it.
Cost is only $200.00.
And if people only purchased Apple's products because of marketing, Apple TV's would be flying off the shelf, which they're not.

@speedgamer303 Droid X cannot hold more apps than iPhone 4. You need to switch between onboard and external memory, and in many cases, the smaller onboard memory runs out and you have to make some tough decisions. It's actually affected the type of apps and how they store media and install, and many strongly recommend avoiding running from the SD if you have a choice. You'll notice many Andoid apps have a 2 part install to get around its limits.

I like my motorola w385. It sends and recieves texts, Phone calls, browes the web pretty fast, plays games, takes 700x700 resolution pictures, and supports gif animation. Plus I have never been in a dead zone from texas to alabama to florida. Plus on top of that I only pay 7 dollars a month for unlimited. :D
