Are you sure about that? I thought that it was really only around the tail and the vent that made them stimulated. I know from experience that petting there is definitely stimulating. But is petting under the wings really going to activate an erogenous zone or is it something they just enjoy?
I know they love it, but under the wing petting is sexual behaviour and can lead to behavioural problems later. Not always, but it's a bit of a set up for loving you, hating the hubby, or protective biting. They love it because it's sexual.
You have a fabulous relationship with her. I have an 18 month old U2 called Snowy. Have you had Gwen since she hatched? How much time do you spend with her? Has she ever given you any problems that I perhaps need to know about to help Snowy? Snowy is male so it might be different. Snowy is my first bird.
could your sounds be anymore disturbing?

My bird Lola absolutely loves being petted, but we can't be rough with her. She bites. :)

The ONLY place a Too should be peeted is above the neck - any place below the neck is sexually stimulating to them, even if they are not hormonal.

Ours likes when you lift her wings and give her a 'hug' with your hand on her back..and the fingers wrap around to the front of her chest.
Also, most birds love when you cuddle them against your chest around your heart area. It's such a comforting feeling for them.
