You should remember that as a road user, your responsibility is to drive, ride or walk safely - not try to get ahead of and block other vehicles from passing you. As the driver of a bus it can be hard keeping an eye on cars that disappear when they get to close to the back of the bus never mind a person on a bike that is taking up a lane and swerving all around. I wanted to run some bikers over earlier today because not only were they taking my whole lane but two of them were riding in the on-coming to talk to their friends, I thought they'd see me and move. If I'm not mistaken, I thought that the bus lane was strictly for buses only, so it looks as if you, sir, are breaking the law straddling that bus lane.

Most bus lanes are bus/cycle lanes, its just bus and taxi drivers don't like sharing.

Rules of the Road page 70:
"A with-flow near- side bus lane, shown below, runs in the same direction as the
traffic beside it. It can be used by bicycles and taxis as well as buses"
The only bus lane that cyclists can't use is a "contra-flow" bus lane, which this isn't (and I can't think of any).
But I don't agree with the amount of lane-hogging done here; I only do it if I'm threatened from the left (or cars overtaking and turning left) or changing lanes myself.

I have to agreed with the other people, don't ride in the middle of the f*cking lane. USE THE SIDEWALK!! I wanted to run some bikers over earlier today because not only were they taking my whole lane but two of them were riding in the on-coming to talk to their friends, I thought they'd see me and move. But, no.

I'm not defending anyones actions here but in the UK and other parts of europe it is actually illegal to ride a cycle on a pavement (or sidewalk as they put it stateside)

It's not illegal here, in northern USA for the most part. Maybe in some big cities, but that doesn't excuse them from being complete jackasses.

You were intentionally preventing that bus driver from passing you by cycling in the middle of the bus lane, when there are no parked cars to be seen. What do you expect? He's hardly going to sit patiently behind you possibly resulting in him being late for a booking. Why would I phone or EMail the company?
