  • nice dude! can you give tabs of this?

  • Do a Paperback Writer cover :) If it's already there...I am blind.

  • hey Scugs, You're videos are AWESOME!

  • Good job, I love that guitar. You can tell the influence Carl Perkins had on George in the solo.

  • great cover!

  • nice playing! and very nice guitar! I wish i had one for my cover! please check it out! :)

  • amazing m8

  • Dear Scugs, It would be very interesting to hear an acoustic version.

  • Wish I had a Gretsch :(

  • I don't get why people are saying 'george didn't play it like that' etc - for god's sake it's a cover version! The guy is not a george impersonator, he's covering the song and doing it really well! George actually did add that bit of rhythm in the verse when they played it live

The solo sounded great, and as for the fact there was no 12 string in the intro - do you expect him to be flicking round guitars, just because it might sound a bit truer to the record?FFS give the guy a break - top cover!

  • nice cover and beautiful guitar

  • hey scugs, im interested on buying this guitar is it good for jazzy sounds?

  • Scugs, no offense, but that isn't how George played it. He didn't do as much rhythm as you do. The rhythm was played by John (or maybe Paul) on acoustic guitar with just lead highlights on the chorus and of course, that great lead which you nailed pretty well.

  • @fliegeroh None taken, man. You're right. I know now that the rhythm was done on the 12 string Rickenbacker - at that time it was probably Harrison, along with doing the lead with the Country Gent.

Might have been John doing the 12 string.. Who knows?

  • @fliegeroh paul was bass george was lead and john was rhythm. and ringo was...drumming

  • amazing!!

  • thank god for youtube!!

I'm studying your perfect solo :-)

    Thanks !!

  • didnt george use the 12 string in the intro?

  • @fguka George used the RIckenbacker for the song, and the Country Gent just for the solo.

Figured the little solo would be more interesting than the rhythm.

  • @Scugs You played, like George did!Excellent!

  • @fguka Thanks man. It still sounded pretty good on the Gretsch. Nice job.

  • @TheThebeatles1994 no! >:o

  • What is your favorite guitar ?

  • face the other way so your left hand is closest the camera. otherwise inspired.

  • ladys and gentleman the next george harrison

  • You Have A Guitar Just Like George Harrison!

  • @TheColts99: No kidding... since George got one just like Chet Atkins! (GH was a big fan of Chets. BTW & FYI: Mr. Atkins was also a VP of RCA records and even worked with Gretsch designing several models, similar to the way Les Paul helped to design guitars for Gibson.) All 3 Beatles up front were also known to use Fenders, Rickenbackers, Gibsons and a few other brands. (Paul started out with a Hofner bass before switching to a Ric.) John used an Epiphone (Casino model) on their tune "Get Back".

  • @Guitarman1146 Why are you telling that everybody already knows that!

  • @TheColts99 yee country gentlemen

  • The solo gave me goosebumps.

    Great job.
