I loved what Erin said about Hollywood movies. She is right. The plot is the same. People being hurt and finding new love while with Fireproof, the story is to stay in the relationship you're in and to improve it.

The fact that when someone says, "Women are smarter and more mature than men" I have to agree or I'm an asshole; Yeah, that pisses me off to no end. The funny thing that I've found is the simple fact that men sit back and take it makes the statement untrue. If someone said, "Men are more mature and smarter than women" women would start a class-action suit against whoever said it, and that would make the former statement untrue as well.

My husband's birthday will be tomorrow and I bought 2 tickets for Fireproof movie. It's my surprise gift for him and I asked his sis to babysit our baby. I'm excited to see this movie too. I heard this is a great movie for couples!!

True, not all guys are bad, but most guys are hated. Girls hate some guys for what they want, and other guys for what they won't give. Guys are either jealous of other guys, or sick of what they have being coveted. It takes a special person to just be happy for what someone else has; to be happy that someone "has".

Actually if you researched into the making of this movie you would find that during the kiss scene, they brought Kirk's wife in as a stand in. He felt like it would be a betrayal to kiss another woman, even during acting. So there were no indiscretions made concerning "kiss scenes".

That was what I was referring to, actually. People give Kirk so much credit for doing that, and my point was that I would have to do that as well, as I would have to make her stand in for the kiss to keep from losing her -- not that amazing.

On a side note, I would be curious to know how long Kirk has been married. Anybody know?

Christians do have the answers and so do the Jews because Christianity comes form Judaism. However, just because a person calls themselves a Christian doesn't mean they are according to the scriptures. Also, just because Christians know what true love is doesn't mean they obey as they should unfortunately. People stay together for many reason. Love isn't always the reason.

What the movie is trying to do is to communicate to people what true love really is. yes not everyone who calls themself a christian obey it and yes people do stay together for other reasons besides love. But thats why this movie is here. To get people to beleive, to truly love, and live a happy life. I don't know any couple that is truly happy w/o love
