  • this is amazing!

  • Uhh, not tryna' sound gay or nothin', but your end result @ 1:30 kinda sounds like that bit from Anastasia "Once upon a December"........

  • Very Helpful, thanks for taking your time to share this...

    Best wishes from Mexico..

  • vedy vedy helpful.

  • Nice melody, It sounds like a zelda type thing. I find that both lydian and dorian both work really well for zelda type things.

  • @kratanuva725 Well Dorian is the relative Minor for Lydian

  • @kratanuva725 It sounds really close the song of time.

  • thank u for making this VDO, you are good.

    I can understand clearly..

    Keep it up

    Wiri

  • Great vid. come up with melodies using this method as well as using the syllables of any random sentence as the rythm and shifting the notes until I hear something I like...then i record it to a tape recorder

  • Can you be more specific, claudioaudio?

If I understand you correctly, you take the rhythm of a random sentence and use that as the rhythm for your melody? Is that what you meant?

Thanks for the video, MarkHansAvon! Very cool.

  • Yes. Exactly. One day I couldn't find my keys. and of course I said "Where the hell my Keys At?" (terrible grammer, I know) But I came up with a really catchy melody for a southern HipHop track starting from the syllables from that sentence.. . I ended up getting a licensed placement on an MTV episode with that beat.
