  • He's such a classy guy. Love Henry Winkler! :)

  • What genius designed that set, which requires the interviewee to constantly turn his/her head from one side to the other?

  • "I would rather be liked than right!"

  • How about interviewing Henry Winkler a little longer?? Just enough time for some complete nonsense and silly banter.

  • who agreed to put the blue shirt douche on screen. what a p-niss

  • Comment removed

  • The guy in blue was bored interviewing....

    HENRY WINKLER...THE FONZ.....Unbelievable!! LOL...

  • I remember seeing him very early in his career in a movie entitled "The Lords of Flatbush." He played a hood like Fonzie character in that too alongside a virtually unknown Sylvester Stallone.

  • I love how they talk shit for the first minute then ask this guy about his worst memory ever

  • The reason people call what The Fonz did "jumping the shark" is because Fonzie had already jumped over a roll of barrels in front of Arnold's Drive-In with his motorcycle in the third episode of season three when the show started filming in front of a live audience and Fonzmania was just starting. As for when the shark jumping took place, Happy Days had run out of ideas by that point but I thought it got rejuvinated after Richie & Ralph left and the focus was on Joanie & Chachai.

  • These interviewers are disturbing and unprofessional

  • @guthery1000

I agree. Don't they even realize WHO they are talking to???

  • I only see Winkler as the lawyer from Arrested Development.

  • @nosoup4u021495 Everyone else sees him as "Fonzie." You can't shake such a huge role in TV history.

  • I get it! @ 1:16 The 'sexuality' joke pissed the guy in blue off because he and the other host have been gettin it on LOL

  • love winkler but @ 1:54 guy in the blue shirt could freekin care less. who are these sons of bitches?

  • Henry Winkler is the kindest man ever. Actor, producer, director, author... and all around nice human being. Beloved. I agree with SOOOOOOO many of you about the two interviewers... especially the one on the right. Faces and eye rolling????? At the Fonz??? Very ignorant. Just watching that, I wanted to slap that guy for his disrespect to good man.

  • "You know what, I really enjoyed myself."

And people say Americans can't do sarcasm.

  • This talk show "jumped the shark"

  • Yeah, hit 'em with it, Winkler. Damn right the Fonz jumped the shark in his leather jacket.

  • He's dressed up exactly like he is in Arrested Development

  • 1:51 Suv is a car dealer? 1:54 the definition of a dick

  • These are supposed to be professional interviewers? What a JOKE. They are both really bad...especially the load in the blue.

  • The Fonz > Chuck Norris

  • Met him late last year. Genuinely nice guy.

  • actually, the Jumped The Shark thing happened not just to other shows of that time, but at the same time. For some reason the US lost its way and started becoming really odd for a bit. welcome back kotter, haooy days and good times in a similar way. mash went off. 75 or 76 things started going downhill

  • Winkler is a terrific guy.

  • Shew, I can not stand those two guys. They are so stupid. I wish he Henry Winkler would just punch them!

  • The Fonz should punch that guy in blue.

  • that was a simile, Fonz

  • I actually got to meet the fonz and he's actually the chillest guy ever!!!

  • those two guys are two of the biggest asshole pricks i ever seen and henry aka the fonz will always be the coolest dude on tv .i know he is way cooler here than these two faggots

  • (Monotono) Thank you, (zzzzzzz) I'm happy to be here (zzzzzzzzzzzz.)

  • HES A KID IN SANDBOX!!!!!!

  • @mmcma007. That random interview in the jungle with romie was way better than this interview here.

  • @jmaster72 That's because it's Romie! "That's why there's Jungle Insider."

  • The reason he jumped the shark was because he told potsy hed do it!

  • Chuck Norris secretly wishes he had the confidence to be as nice as Henry Winkler.

  • wow, what a great metaphor! im not even joking, it IS a good allegory

  • The guy on the right is Jared from Subway!

  • Good grief. Who employed these two incompetant tards to do the interview? The guy with the beard at least appears to know what he's talking about but the blue shirt fellow is beyond incompetant. Maybe his Daddy produced the show - it's the only explanation.

  • yeah the dude in the blue shirt was a lame-o

All hail the holy Fonz. AAAAAAAeeeeyyyyy

  • Who is that smug turd in the blue shirt? More importantly, who hired these two incompetant a-holes to host an interview? Winkler is a gem and an icon, it's ashame to see his legacy tarnished by encounters with feces like these two ass hats.

  • I wish these interviewers would jump into the shark's mouth. Henry is such a sweet guy and so grounded considering he played the character whose very name is synonymous with cool.

  • Henry Winkler is a gentleman. Nice interview.

  • who the fuck are these two nerdo interviewers they dont deserve to be in the presence of the fonz

  • Jesus fucking christ. That thin guy in the blue shirt is a total DICK! Rolling his eyes when he thought the camera wasn't on him, hmmming for replies, and just general disrespect for Henry Winkler. Needs his fucking throat kicked in.

  • @SDRockman dont disrespect the fonz man

  • I agree the guy in blue had no appreciation for the Fonz.

  • These interviewers are internet interviewers for a reason, they try to make the interview all about them and are really uncomfortable.

  • I'd slap those stupid glasses right off his boring face.

  • hes old eww

  • I used to live in New Jersey back in 89 and i was often a New Yorker on weekends.. one of those saturdays that i spent in " the Big Apple " i went to Tower Records located at Broadway av. West side upper Manhattan and when i was leavin'' from there after one hour of music fun, i saw this great actor looking for some music stuff. i went outside and asked him for an autograph. he looked more handsome in person let me tell ya' and he was a very fine that time.

  • @adiostraitorobama

It's amusing at the very least. Can't speak for others, but I lol'd.

  • It's sad Henry was and going to be remember for that stupid rol of fonzie, i know and he sure does too his potencial as a great actor he was and he stil is better than his co-star of one his 70's film "Heroes" Harrison Ford.

  • @myryckyz

I don't think the role of Fonzie was stupid at all...now it looks cheesy, but we are talking the late 70's & early 80's tv programs. Fonzie is an iconic character from TV. His leather jacket is the Smithsonian. I like that Henry never puts that role down or talks badly about it. I hate when actors say they hate the roles that made them famous. Good to know he's not like that...that's just my opinion & I do not mean any offense to yours as well.

  • @mdeaton3

I agree. Yes, Fonzie was a bit cheesy, even then, but he was supposed to be...it was a COMEDY! And even though it was cheesy, he made it cool, just as he is now, when he shows that not only does he not mind being asked about Fonzie (how many times do you think he's had to talk about this with fans and interviewers), BUT also with the whole "jump the shark" issue, which would probably bother a lot of other actors/celebs. Cool guy.

  • @adiostraitorobama

you're take'n the piss right now with that comment.

  • he's so sweet! I love him!

  • Fonzie jumped the shark in his leather jacket and proved that a teevee show can become stupid and still survive. But did you know that the real Fonzie was eaten by the shark when he tried that?

  • the fonz seems to be ignoring the douche to his left.

  • The guy in the blue shirt is such a fucking douche lol

  • Both of their shirts are blue LOL

  • winkler's is green

  • I take it beatTV is not a professional operation.

  • NIGHT SHIFT One of the greatest movies EVER!

  • Night Shift was hilarious.

  • lol. certainly one of the funniest films ive ever seen in an unfunny kind of way

  • I read somewhere he was first educated to become a teacher, but after, decided to become an actor.

  • i read that too on a youtube

  • The guy in the blue can't even pretend to be enthused... Prick.

  • No kidding, what a douche...rolling his eyes, too.

  • both in blue,,,

  • yeah, what a dick.

  • @skylark3zep17 You called it, perfectly.

  • He was in Holes too

  • I love Henry and all, but I have GOT to have those red leather chairs.

  • Happy days went though a though patch at that point. but I wouldn't say they nuked the fridge.

  • Henry was also funny in The Waterboy.

  • i met Henry Wrinkler..at a book signing for his children books..he kissed my cheek :]

he's really sweet...there was this lady who i guess was a little slow..& she came up to him & goes "you used to be the Fonz! you used to go hey" *holds up thumb*

& he just laughed & played around with her..

the way she said it showed how she was, but he was so sweet to her & everything

even though he jumped the shark...he's still awesome

  • @musicweirdo1

Thanks for your post! It's wonderful to know that Mr Winkler is such a sweet, warm & friendly man when it comes to his fans. It's always delightful to find out that stars are nice people off screen.

  • @musicweirdo1 I met him as well, he came to a musical at my high school. I was handing out programs and he stood next to me so I asked him how he was and he was so sweet. We got into a whole conversation about where I was going to go to college and what I was going to study. Such a great man.

  • @bellacullen01 That's so awesome. He's one of the very few celebrities who don't act like complete stuck up jerks. He's so down to earth and kind. It was an honor meeting him.

  • @musicweirdo1 I completely agree. It definitely was an honor.

  • @musicweirdo1 I just found out from watching THIS VIDEO,Henry jumped the shark TWICE-1 other time was on different show,Watch this clip to hear how THAT happened

  • @musicweirdo1 You are totally accurate.

  • @musicweirdo1 Thanks for sharing that. He does seem like a good-hearted man.

  • Would be interesting if Denis Leary were to get Henry to make an appearence or two on "Rescue Me".

Then their babies will grow up to be baby fonzes, and they'll kick your ass, then they'll bring back Happy Days, and then the earth will explode with awesome. • i know, i know, i have hd, it looks so convincing but its all just a conspiracy...

  • lol

  • wiki says the show was in declining ratings, but he says they were #1 for 6 years after the shark...what gives?

  • i wanna smack the douchebag on Fonzie's left,,,little smug prickface

  • ron howard sucks fonz kicks his ass

  • Dorks. I bet they were hoping some of Fonz's coolness would rub off on them.

  • Okay, Henry deserves better. The questions were lame and the interviewers were barely listening to him. You could tell their main concern was looking cool instead of actually being interested in what he had to say.

  • what?

  • the fonz says HONK!!!!!!!!!!

  • this interview reminds me of that scene out of "the golden child"..i aint gonna explain it, you either know it or you dont.

  • Henry Winkler rules! He's such a nice guy and unlike so many actors from TV shows. He's managed to reinvent his career and stay relevant. Aaay!!!

goes to show that even if you have a show in the United States doesn't mean seabass scrotum.......

  • Phonies rule the world.

  • Eeeeeey!

  • why did people "fear" Fonzie? He was like 5'1", and liked to hang out in men's bathrooms.

  • i used to think that in the seventies...all his buddies were taller than him!

Chuck Cunningham would tear him apart

  • Remember Mike Tyson was short, didn't stop him ripping apart Huge guys....

  • his tough character, the jacket, and use of words...i don't know

  • Wow - how did these idiots get this gig?

  • Retarded interviewers, not only do they insult him, but theyre fucking retards
