im actually glad this scene wasnt used, its such a pretentious hollywood movie cliche with people walking away from explosions and not looking at it and nolan and the joker are better than that, glad they kept it in where the joker does look back mainly coz the detonator broke lol

@sabah2177 it wasnt a real hospital, it was a brach's candy factory in chicago. they bought it and made it into a hospital thing for the movie. it was just an abandoned factory from what i can remember seeing. since this scene was shot in chicago and i been by there so many times before they blew it up

This is why Christopher Nolan is the Alfred Hitchcock of this era. He continually makes movies with good working plot lines and uses some of the oldest tricks of the trade. Much respect Nolan for keeping it real and not using CGI for everything.

its really dissappointing that both shots cudnt be used. The one that was used shows ledger rite there and shows the scale of the explosion but the other takes use that little it deeper into the jokers state of mind. I think the right choice was made though
