I really like this version, there is an even more raw and basic electric guitar version on the Demo disc that comes with the Stanley Road Album. Search youtube for 'Broken Stones Demo Guitar Version Paul Weller'
For some reason I prefer this "guitar" version... seems to have a lil' bit more "bite" than the other "softer" version- plus when you think of PW... he should be "armed" with a six-string device!
piano much better but i think acoustic sounds good played at a slower tempo the barre chords give it a nice sound on acoustic not many times ur here that said but anyway tasty song
This performance is included as bonus footage on the As Is Now DVD. The As Is Now DVD is available for around 10-15 US dollar on ebay, or it can be purchased from Yep Roc Records online. This concert set, which the band performs at the 100 club, is worth the cost of the DVD alone IMHO; however you will also get a full documentary on the making of the As Is Now record, a Weller interview, about 10 extra video/studio performances and more!
