  • Too bad the Hooksett police officer didn't issue a summons to the Massachusetts woman for disturbing the peace.

  • I'd like to shake that police officer's hand. Thanks for the story.

  • why not conceal carry... instead of cousing problem everywhere you go... just to try to look badass?

  • @ZzRvXzZ Some people don't feel comfortable carrying concealed other people simply have problems drawing from a concealed carry position due to body size and other factors. I'm not saying some people don't open carry to "look bad ass" but don't generalize all people who choose to OC because the unfortunate truth is we'll never know how many crimes have been prevented by people who OC.

  • I would like to know the cops name, to send him a thank you letter for being a true American police officer. If all police were just half as professional as this guy, we wouldn't have law abiding cop haters. ~SSG Murphy J, ret.

  • @degenret01 You're the same moron that's guna be pissed when the same cops let some maniac with a gun go and he goes on to use the gun for intimidation therefore restraining his victims civil liberties. You're guna be the same douche that demands an answer.

  • @eruweraranj0r No jackass. I am the guy who wants to see 30-50 percent of Americans armed at all times, and a reduction in the police forces of 50-60 percent. If it takes a few lives a year for us to keep our 2nd amendment rights, then so be it. Nothing in this world is free, and I am willing to see the price paid for freedom. Hence my 16 years service to this country. ~SSG Murphy J., ret.

  • in alaska you can open carry loaded with ammo...there was a young man who was shot just a few weeks ago because someone mistaken who he was for some else and if he didnt had his gun his wife and daughter would have got shot as well they may have not been as lucky as he was (he obatined a minor flesh wound)...but here in alaska its common to open carry or conceal carry with or without permits and we are one of the top five states to have the least murders and roberies....

  • *sigh* must be nice to live in a free state. =(

  • It is illegal if someone sees a concealed firearm. At least in Maine where I live, you have to definitely hide it and hide it well in Maine.

  • @D13fledermause It's only illegal if you do not possess a valid concealed carry permit. Maine is one of the many states that DOES allow for OPEN carry almost everywhere (except for loaded in vehicles, bars, schools including colleges, and of course federal property).

  • Dave. You are really good for the most part speaking with cops and asserting your rights. You should do a training class on it. BTW, what is happening with you Nashua case?

  • I am not in a hurry to get married! So many women around here are such worthless stupid cunts!

  • @twombonu and I'm sure they're just throwing themselves at your feet with that attitude Mr. Potty Mouth

  • @JNorm123 For your information, Mr Liberal pothead trade freedom for 3 meals a day, I just got married to a lady from Iran. Although she doesn't like guns, she is not a stupid American cunt. With that kind of female voters, no wonder we ended up with a communist in the white house.

  • Mass sucks, im a gun owner and the Chief of Police here decided to impose restrictions on my CLASS A LTC. I cannot carry concealed unless im doing somthing like camping, hiking, skiing, etc. Yes Skiing the chief of police said my restrictions allow me to carry while skiing.

  • oh my God your annoying

  • @budman8207 *you're

How ironic that your bad grammar is likely to annoy more people that this guy's video enlightening people on their rights.

  • I love when cops are cool and constitutional.

  • "Then go back!" hahahahaha

  • GO BACK TO mASSACHISETTS

  • Same happens here in VA when MDers come down.

  • @pJonathan22047 wait you can open carry in VA??? when i went to va to a gunstore, they all open carried, and i ran out screaming "theyre being robbed"....lol SIKE i thought that was the coolest shit. i hate md, i cant get my concealed because of this crappy stupid state.

  • Every cop needs to be as professional and constitutional as the one in this event.

  • Awesome! Here in Illinois we can't wait to get OC or CCW. While we wait we organize OC events in Illinois (on private property, with media attention) and OC in Wisconsin where it is legal.

I'm thinking perhaps NH has more like minded people. I lived in Mass for about 6 months, and I like the east coast. Hmmmm, I am thinking NH will be my next vacation destination.

  • Funny story XD

  • Hahah very good story!!!

  • Lol,I live in MA but also lived in NH And ME.

Mass folk tend to be overly domesticated, living in a bubble.

There are three ways to catagorize humanity, the mindless masses, demagogues, and those who recognize the masses are hopelessly stupid pawns for demagogues.

  • yeah ,sure .

  • I love living in NH! We still have our freedoms here! (at least until the feds regulate over them) :D

  • HAHA I would laugh so hard if someone screamed "HE'S GOT A GUN!" at me.

  • Nice "story" , not real believable but....

  • Did I hear right, That a police officer "plugged" the FreeStateProject?Thats awsume! God bless America. I hope Bin Ladin's people get a chance to watch this video. They might have better luck in Mass.

  • I wonder why mass government doesn't require people like her to license her mouth. I know how the man in this story must feel. I had a similiar encounter in Claremont over the summer. One of the stores clerks was angry about my wife and I open carrying. If looks could kill we would both be dead. Soon after we left that store the police showed up at Walmart to "investigate" us. Kinda scarey. Though lately more often than not I have had very decent experiences in New Hampshire and Vermont alike.

  • "then go back!" oh snap!!

  • lol. I've open-carried before in AZ and had a tourist couple from Massachusetts basically freak out. "They actually allow people to carry guns here?" My reply: "Yes, they do ma'am. You know, it's your Second Amendment Right to be able to keep and bear arms, and they actually trust us here in AZ to use them responsibly -- which is unlike some other States [like Massachusetts]." They were dumbfounded (like they'd never seen a gun before).

  • It seems open carry would be more risky in that you could have a fool try to take your weapon from you. I am hoping to get my CCP soon. Do you prefer or recommend open carry over concealed?

  • I think it depends upon the environment that you're placing yourself in. In my case, I was open-carrying (with a friend also open-carrying) in the Senora desert (a National Forest) - which is common because of the possibility of a wildlife attack. In more densely populated areas, for example, crowds, I think it is far safer to conceal. So my reply is, it depends upon the situation - and it's best to think in advance, to weigh the risks vs. the benefits - or whether you even need to carry at all.

  • "Do you prefer or recommend open carry over concealed?" --

It's a personal decision, but to make a fully informed decision, you should check out OpenCarry*org, especially the forums.

If you open carry, I would recommend some sort of retention holster to prevent your gun being taken. Serpa holsters are best.

There are a few benefits of open carry: quicker draw, more comfortable, more deterrence, and the opportunity to remind everyone that good people carry guns, not just criminals and cops.

  • Thanks I will check it out.

  • Just a note, retention holsters firmly hold the gun and unless you know the trick, some are twist and pull, some carry concealed buttons or levers you must depress, its is more likely when you try to take the firearm you will just drag the carrier around ;)

  • Awesome story, Dave. I'm not sure how I feel about the term "Masshole," but for enthusiastic supporters of state coercion, I suppose it's appropriate.

I can't wait to move to New Hampshire, where I don't have to get fingerprinted like a criminal to carry a weapon for self-defense.

By the way, how long until NH goes Vermont-style with carry laws? :-P I know you're working on it.

  • Awesome!

  • Correction-- if you're moving up for more libety or to work for liberty, you're technically not a Masshole.

  • massholes move up to make things "better" for the people of NH. riiiight.

  • Does this mean cops in Northwood are profiling Free Staters like cops in Manchester do? This is not good stuff. Why would a cop ask if someone is a Free Stater?

  • As a former "Massh**le" and defector from the state of insanity and oppression and socialism, tyranny, etc. add infinitum, I think this is wonderful.

  • LOL. HE'S GOT A GUN!

  • I FUCKING hate Massholes. I'm almost ashamed to be a native Bostonian.

  • Hey Dave, im not sure if you will respond to this, because you get so many comments, but i am a New Hampshire resident and have been for my whole life (16 years). I love your videos and watch all of them and they are great. I was wondering if you, or anyone else, could answer my question of what the legal age in New Hampshire (particularly Hudson), is to conceal carry. I have heard that there is actually no formal age, but i was wondering if anyone here had any ideas? Thanks for any help! AJ

  • You can apply and get a license to conceal at ANY age in New Hampshire. You can OC at any age without a license.

  • I told my 5 year old daughter that, if we ever get to move to NH, she could carry her own gun.

Her eyes lit up like it was already christmas!

  • haha nice

  • Great story.

  • that witch shouldn't go back to massachusetts... she should just hang herself as she is a traitor to the constitution.

  • Good job Hookset PD.

  • you know what, I'm from Massachusetts and you just lost a subscriber.

  • Wow, ya thats a great reason to unsubscribe... because he read a story that another guy wrote to him...

  • Than you know how much it sucks to live in a tyrannical hell hole.

  • What a shame.

What in particular do you find off putting enough that you would publicly announce your disdain for all that Ridely reports on from this one story about Gun Rights being defended by of all people the local Law Enforcement?

Taking a guess here it's the generally acknowledged cliche that MA is the socialist program center of the USA. If this is wrong or wrong headed we would all benefit from an explanation of how and/or where this cliched view is wrong.

  • To use the term Massholes in the title insults my home state. If the Ridley Report wants to grow their message by denegrating groups of people, then they are doing the same thing that Bush & Company do. Living in a Republic is about respecting the rights/lives of others.

  • Doh!

didn't occur to me that's what was so poorly obfuscated in the title.

Goes with the amateur style of the reporting.

    Thanx for the reply,

beats being slapped with a wet trout

  • Massachusetts deserves to get insulted. They're the American headquarters for socialist nanny-stating mixed with police state tactics.

  • I agree. As a NH native, I can't stand Massholes. I normally don't generalize like that but it's based on a life-time of experience.

  • Well, as far as I'm concerned, people who love liberty aren't true massholes.

  • I'm not a REAL Massh**le, but I used to be.

  • Masshole, as a term I've learned to live with, used to refer to the fact that more mass residents are horrible drivers. While I disagree with that, it's more of a badge of honor. I love liberty, I've lived in MA mostly all my life, I am a masshole, and I am a freestater moving within 6 months.

  • On the other hand, it IS the home of Denny Crane...

  • You didn't tell us what name calling residents of MA accomplishes?

Apparently it distances at least one person of a like mind from further subscribing to Ridley Report.

Is there some positive aspect to this name calling? I really don't think a message spreads quite so fast and far when one purposely sets out to demean a substantial part of the audience.

    Just a thought...

please give some consideration to what message you want to broadcast

  • You don't live in NH and see these massholes come up to our fair state and want to make it like the hellhole they came from. One might asked why they left in the first place if they want NH to be just like Massachusetts.

  • "lighten up francis"

  • in total agreement.

  • I'm from Needham and The Cape. I encourage you to build a bridge and get over it already.

  • Gee, and people still wonder why I can't wait to move to NH?

  • Cool story.

  • Free Staters are getting a "rep"! I am glad everything turned out as it should.

  • What a great story! I'm always glad to see a positive experience involving both free-staters and police.

  • Gun control works, Adolf Hitler.

  • LOLz, good story! One of my fav ridleos! Was he inspired to join?

  • He can't. He's a native.

  • uh? He can still join the Free State Project, is it not just a dedication to liberty and freedom?

  • No, it's a commitment for those dedicated to liberty and freedom to MOVE TO NH. He can endorse the project as a NH-resident, but can't actually join.

  • Gotcha, thanks :P

  • that story was awesome.

  • haha, awesome story!

  • What would have happened in your state? Would it have turned out as well? If not, check out FreeStateProject*org and do something about it.

  • DAVE!!!! THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!

I want the name of that officer. Please get the name of that officer if you can!! This officer deserves a few thankful letters from New Hampshire residents sent to his commanding officer.

  • God I can't wait to go to the liberty forum

  • Go back to Massachusetts. LOL!

  • Good video. Great story.
