because Finn is more of a central character if you haven't noticed, where as Kurt and Artie play large parts but aren't necassarily front and centre of all the conflict like Finn is. So therefore Finn is more open to singing more songs and solos to suit what's happening in the story line and when the other boys are mixed in they get their turn at solo's too. But I must disagree with you, Kurt and Artie aren't better, just as good but very different :)
