It was one of nayyar sahibs all time hits. this song was written by the Legendary SUFI TABBASUM" for PTV. and was re adapted for the movie with his premisson. this song came out in 1975 or 76.

Im from India.I used to hear this song from Radio Pakistan Multan in 1978,so imagine my joy on hearing it again after 30 years.A. Nayyar has very good voice, strong and clear,like a mixture of Manna De and Kishore Thanx Aamir for sharing this wonderful song, Im now going to listen his other songs like Tanhaiyon men kat jayenge,which is also my fav one but not heard since 78. thankx Aamir again.

As i remember this was his 4th appearance on tv. Afterwards he sang for bengal mov. star Reshma,s movie" shaarmili" with diff wordings and iam pretty sure music was by Karim shahab-ud din(Chand aur Chandni fame).A.nayyar,s 1st tv. geet was right after 1971 war "POa phutnay mein dai nahin",2nd was "Jhom utta dil mera"& 3rd was "Apni taswer ko ankhon lagata kiya hai ik nazzar meri taraf bhi tera jata kiya hai"lyric by our family friend Shahzad ahmed shazad if any body have that plz post it.

infact he sang on tv "Lala-e-saba tanha, Phool ki hunsi tanha, Is chaman ki dunya mein har kali kali tanha". which he sings sitting on a chair with some 200 chairs around him :) So owing to popularity of that song, this song was compiled on exactly the same tune but different lyrics. TV song was neither penned by Younis Hamdam nor the music was compoed by Karim Shahab-ud-Din. Thanx for upload. This song proved to be more popular than A.Nayyar's TV song mesntioned above :)
