i hate these 48 or 49 point games because its 1 free throw or basketbal to 50 and jordan is second im most 50's with kobe closing in. ive noticed that jordan didnt really care when he got close to 50 and that when kobe gets close to 50 he knows it and he goes for it. if you did know him, in collage 1st year at UNC he was good, second year at the beggining was horrible. his dad(main coach in his life) told him not to care much of the box score. Jordan got the fresh start thats why he shaves his head. other wise. we need ppl to stop comparing kobe and jordan, if u knew both of them. let KOBE be KOBe, let JORDAN be JORDAN

i hear what u are saying, but kobe put some of that on himself. yes he is unfairly on the list of "The Next MJ's" with a few others and unfairly compared to MJ, but no one told him to go bald, mimic MJ's voice, wear his shoes, and basically copy off of MJ's game. out of all the Next MJ's, kobe is the only 1 who has a problem with just being himself. as long as delusional kobe fans continue to say he's the same or better than MJ, there will always be MJ fans to silence them.

im not comparing them. Kobes game is completely different than jordans. They just kinda look alike and speek alike. i always hate when people compare players to jordan. Jordan was a ton more athletic than kobe. Jordan had better physical attributes and played in a harder era. kobe may put up big numbers like the 81 but in my opinion jordans stats are far more impressive than kobes. All that being said jordan still have greater stats. a player like jordan only comes around once.

I loved that about Jordan. He would get close to 50 and then stop scoring or leave the game because there was nothing else to prove. The older Jordan was also more accepting of the triangle; rarely did he force the issue in his later years. If Jordan really wanted to, he could have way more scoring records under his belt, but he cared for the win and the win alone.

For the sake of trivia, Jordan had 3 48 point games in his career, and he had 10 49 point games, only counting the regular season. I don't know about the playoffs, except that he scored 49 pts against Boston the game before scoring 63.

Kobe in the regular season has 3 48 pt. games and no 49 pt. games. I don't think Kobe is going to catch MJ in total 50 pt. games, but there's an outside chance of matching his total for the regular season. We'll see.

MJ had a 49 pt game in Philly in 90 in the post season and 48 pt game in charlotte in the 95 playoffs and i doubt Kobe will catch up to MJ in 50 pt games because he is getting up there in age and now that his team is winning that means his scoring is down another difference between MJ and Kobe. MJ still would avg 30 ppg or close to it. he won a scoring title every yr he won a title
