someone please tell me,why do the Burmese soldiers slaughter innocent people. For fun,for a sport or their looks.I can understand radical muslims but not this.
The attacks by the Burmese army against villagers is REAL - there have been over 200 attacks against unarmed civilians and children with the actual mortar attacks against bamboo villages - Johns Killing maybe is exaggerated - the violence of the burmese army is NOT. Google it and find out....
I'm looking for volunteers to participate in a study about Rambo: First Blood (1982), as part of an academic project. Participation would involve viewing the film in your own house or wherever/however you normally watch films, and responding to a questionnaire about your thoughts and feelings about the film.
Please contact me (send a message) for more information or for a questionnaire. Thanks!
Why is it that the remakes of old Sly movies are the full names of his caracters. Like Rocky Balboa and John Rambo. Why not Rambo 4. But still this trailer should have been used as one on TV because its good.
The new movie should have him killing some saggy feminist politician with a southern redneck husband. That would get audiences on their feet & clapping their hands together quick.
CANNOT WAIT..Burma is the most Repressive regime in the world. Thanks for making this film SLY. I like to dedicate this film to all the Burmese people . check out burma in google and find out the facts
That'd suck. I wanted them to bring it back to Afghanistan, seein how the folks he halped in Rambo 3 blew up the World Trade Center. The next one surprisingly looks awesome though, I was so pleasantly shocked.
The Mujaheddin leader in Rambo III is named 'Masoud'. Masoud's Mujaheddins joined forces with troops led by the secularist and former communist ally General Dostum to form the Northern Alliance after the Talibans overthrew the ineffective post-Soviet-war Afghan government. The Talibans and Al Queda themselves emerged from Mujaheddin factions that were rivals of Masoud during the Soviet war.
So the folks he helped in Rambo 3 remain the good guys? Good to know, it still remains a great premise for another Rambo sequel, should have went with it for the new one.
Yes, they were the good guys. While I think Burma is as politically relevant as the Middle East in terms of crimes against humanity, I still think Sly played it safe by choosing a conflict that has had little media coverage.

More realistic than most think. Alot of high caliber elite soldiers are feared, and stereotyped when they reenter civilian life. I know.

Pretty good. Pretty good, indeed.

I think Rambo is coolest when he's surviving in woodlands, but the jungle isn't too bad either. Anything is better than the middle east.

Not bad at all.
In the official trailer, I would like to see something like this, to reintroduce the character.
Good job!
