Excuse me! Why now that is involves the "American" citizens this bill is important and everybody's in the USA is yelling, but when it applies to all permanent residents, aliens, and anybody around the world nobody cares? Detention based on suspicion is equally bad for all people because you destroy lives and NOT only for American citizens! I happy Americans are going through now what they allowed for all other people around the world with their hideous foreign policy.

@cat22203 it's b/c before it wasn't treason; also it might be b/c there is a huge media blackout on this and this was the only thing that was 'attention getting enough' for the media to release. Seriously, practically the only way to find any information on this is to be specifically looking for it. :/ I even had trouble finding the bill itself. I do agree this isn't ok period to do to anyone but really you're going to blame us for the actions of our governmen?

As for our foreign policy also since the 1960''s we have struggled with the gov. to stop meddling in foreign affairs. The people here d/n want it as much as the rest of the world, though I suppose you would have to be here to know that :P

@KittyInferno1 Also if I'm remembering this correctly when we first got wind of what our gov. was doing behind our backs in the Vietnam War 1960's we protested against our gov. for such acts and worse, hell we even had hatred for our own soldiers for it. As for the war in the middle east, we stopped supporting that years ago and we d/n support injustice on innocent lives in this case either.So d/n presume to know what we support when you clearly d/n even know yourself.

We , people from other country' s cannot have nearly as much influence in non war directed ways on YOUR goverment, as YOU the American citizens can. You as an American citizen have much more of a voice in America then I who live 10.000 km away...

@slayer2961 You are right we do have more of a voice in that concept. The point I failed spectacularly at making is that our elections are bought and paid for no matter how much protesting we do. We have a voice but it is not being heard and we might as well be as far away as you. What I guess I'm trying to say is in any corrupted gov. why are we blaming and hating the people who have been hoodwinked and manipulated when it is the corrupt and greedy who are to blame?

@KittyInferno1 oh! right I forgot to mention! People from other countries CAN have their voice heard heard. You see there is a website called change.org where people globally form petitions for change and anyone from anywhere can sign any petition. Just the other day when I was signing one dealing with the NDAA and holding our congressmen responsible I saw someone from the eastern part of Europe who had signed. So there is a way that someone faraway can be heard.

We used to have such a period of peace from about the death of Stalin to the 80' s.I also admire the fact that you acknowledge the people as humans for I do not see this happen very often. I d/n know if I can achieve this but I'm sure as hell gonna try, and if I have the idea I'm sure others are doing the same somewhere. So d/n give up hope yet folks! :) They may have won the battle but they h/n won the war.
