In western NC 3 out of 5 immigrants were Scots..................It was said an Englishman's first accomplishment would be to build a home when they arrived,a German first accomplishment to build a barn and a SCOT would build a still....This may or may not have been accurate...........i suppose it depends who's telling the story..
FUN FACT: Either in early scotland or just before the country was born, there were two groups of people, the Scots and the Picts. The Picts were basicly natives while the Scots were actually Irish!
@jcd484 TRUE FACT: The Scots ARE the Caledonian Picts. OGAP4 code from an extensive 12 year research proves this as it's found all over Scotland today, 90% of the people in Scotland descend right back to the last post ice age people from 17,000 years ago.
The Irish were never in Scotland. Irish were Iberian invaders from Spain who conquered all of Ulster except Ulster (N.Ireland).
lol i like how the 19 year old from scotgland had lived there for 5 years and had an american accent haha. Im just kidding this is a good school project.
Scotland wasen't in poverty, the majority of Scots who left for America was due to them disagreeing with joining the British Union however, good job all the same.
Believe me, most people I know who have been to America do regret moving there.
It's way overrated, and full of fat dumb Yankee people.

What an irritating annoying Yankee accent.
Andrew Carnegie and Alexander Graham Bell were Scottish not American, so their inventions are Scottish only, this is well documented fact!
Look up the definitions of 'Scottish Inventions'.

@ClarksonsinUSA possible. but then we would build a still and be selling whiskey much faster than the english and germans.
TherealMrChristophel 8 months ago
@TherealMrChristophel Well ......One American ethnic group selling to the others is more accurate..We are one people..

Great but Scotland (with Britain) was the richest and most powerful country in the world
JamesJTV 1 year ago
@JamesJTV Britain was Scotland as well you daft tit, Great Britain did not exist until the Scottish and English parliaments both agreed to it in 1707.
Great Britain is not a nation, it's merely a political construct that started with Scotland and England.
