With guitar it works as a very fuzzy distortion - adds a lot of high harmonics - I don't think it is an ideal typical guitar overdrive though - could be an interesting 'different' effect though.
But - I can confirm that sending a drum machine through it does sound amazing - kick drums become massive snarling booms.
What would this sound like with a sine wave or guitar signal going through it?
