  • does this take place in Jupiter?

This is Venus. Remember that at the time, not a soul knew what Venus was actually like.

  • @LamentingHarlot I had a similar experience, i remember watching this on a film projector in elementary school, and it is one of my favorite stories. To this day i look at the Sun differently because of this film. Im glad you found it after all these years.

  • When I was in third grade, just 8 years old, I vividly recall watching this short film in class. It had such an impact on me that it's stuck with me to this day; at the age of 35 .I've never had luck finding it til now. I remembered it being called "Forever in a Day," then I thought it might be called "Forever in an Hour," - then last night while I was drifting off to sleep I thought to myself.. perhaps it could have been called "Summer in a Day?" And now -27 years later; I've found it :D

  • They live on venus right? (Pause at 4:13) That's a model of Juptier.

  • I have been looking for the name of this movie for literally 5 + years

  • I love this story so much. Also The Dwarf. Why? Because I can relate to the Dwarf and Margot.

  • read the story for english. the movie sure is diffrent. :o

  • @CandyXdaXnekoX13 so did I

  • @Mrbelf1 what did you like more, the story or movie? owo

  • @CandyXdaXnekoX13 the story i'm not really with old type of movies but this is still very good

  • @Mrbelf1 same. i wish the movie would have showed margot having her brake down like in the story with the showers, so in the movie people could see that she didnt just love and miss the sun, she needed it. but on the other hand it showed more of a conection with her and her peers for the end, and how jealous they where. sorry, i ranted xD

  • @AceTracer:

I'm guessing you just looked at amount of precipitation? That's half the issue; the other is the average days of precipitation. If it rains 11 inches on 1 day in a month in A, but 0.5 inches for 20 days a month in B, A has more rain but I think the vast public would call B "rainier."

Both Portland and Seattle have more days of rain per year (147 each) than Miami (126). Portland and Seattle are also both significantly cloudier than Miami.

  • @anoggen I have proof

  • So I just looked it up; of the top ten rainiest cities, all of them are in the Southeast, and four of them are in the "Sunshine State", including my hometown of Miami. And yet I've never heard people whine about the weather as much as in the Pacific Northwest.

You guys should be happy you have four distinct seasons and a mild winter; I didn't see snow or seasons changing until I was in my 20s.

  • @112961man no

  • i thought margot would be more quiet, but it's still awesome~

  • we watched this in sci-fi class

  • I saw this as a young child and it's been burned into my psyche since. Saw it around the same time as The Red Balloon (french). My first memories of feeling anger, sadness and empathy at how horrible kids can be.

  • @libertyn916

OMG THE RED BALLOON IS SOOO AWESOME!!!!

  • omfg!!! william in this movie is brad in adventures in babysitting

  • me and our class in ms.devanon watched the movie

  • we watched this in class and compared it with the novel. I hate the story ending "And even more slowly, they let Margot out."

  • It is a sad short story I wish it was a novel so it would continue....

  • @Nintengirl218 Well it's actually in a book that i use in school for reading, it's a big book with a lot of stories and this story happens to be in there. Part of the book's name is Glencoe and the rest i don't really know what it is.
